June 14, 20241 yr Author Aitch dropped after just two weeks on the A-list? I'm also a bit shook they've dropped 'Fortnight' after just 6 weeks on the playlist, seems very soon for a lead single. She's such a flop! I wonder if she'll push another single soon? Not that she needs it to keep selling the album. She just needs to keep bringing out new formats every week. Wild to see Lulu as the BBC Introducing artist, aren't they about 60 years too late though? :kink: Edited June 14, 20241 yr by Mangø
June 14, 20241 yr Looks like Birds Of A Feather has been picked as the next single and they should also remove Espresso now that Please Please Please has been playlisted Edited June 14, 20241 yr by Hadji
June 14, 20241 yr Birds of a Feather too big to ignore now (and is far better than Lunch). Great to see some dance tracks added for the summer including Kelli Leigh. :)
June 14, 20241 yr Great week for dance tracks! All four of the new additions are great and Wilkinson escapes the C-list. If only salute moved up too. Aitch was also on the Big Weekend playlist so that adds another two weeks on to his playlist run and I’m assuming he was on A-list rotation during those two weeks. Taylor is a little more surprising, but the song has been out for two months now so perhaps they thought it was best to move on, despite only being played on A-list rotation for six of those weeks. But really you’d think Hozier and Dua Lipa would be in line to go first.

June 14, 20241 yr Just had a listen to that Paris Paloma song for the first time because I’d never heard of her or the song before and it’s great! Really wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was! Also great to see all the dance adds - Barry Can’t Swim and Disclosure are my favourites of them. Hopefully John Summit/Sub Focus can also join them next week. I wonder if they’ll end up adding Ariana‘a post album single - I’m pretty sure it’s been out as a single for a couple of weeks now so I’d have thought it would have been added by now.

June 14, 20241 yr The Paris Paloma song was a minor hit a year or so ago, she made a new version and I believe it’s fans making up the cacophony which is quite cool!
June 14, 20241 yr When they play Genesis on its own it is pt i and pt ii but when it's played with a power intro (e.g. at the top of the hour) it is pt ii only. Amazing for Kelli-Leigh! Unconditional has had various spot plays on Radio 1 Dance shows plus Tune of the Week treatment twice so glad to see her getting some belated solo exposure now with her own work having been a writer/featured artist for many years.
June 17, 20241 yr Tune of the Week Arielle Free: Charlotte Plank - Nightshift Sam and Danni: Dylan - Perfect Revenge Rickie, Melvin and Charlie: Disclosure - She's Gone, Dance On Dean and Nat: kamille - headline Vick, Katie and Jamie: Pale Waves - Perfume
June 17, 20241 yr Where the feck is BET by METTE? Heard it on daytime quite a bit but still not officially playlisted. It's perfect for them! Timeless euphoric dance banger of the summer, #2 in my FakeChart, stuck behind a 51-year-old. Edited June 17, 20241 yr by HiyaLuv2
