July 4, 20241 yr The Reform stuff is worrying, but also a clear indication of where Labour need to play politics right and try to win that vote share. Let's be honest people are voting for Farage, but this will encourage them going forwards and the the temptation to merge with the Conservatives will be there. Still think if enough light is shined on Reform RE NHS etc. they will crumble.
July 4, 20241 yr Richard Tice making me want to change to the Sky coverage lol EDIT - *David Bull, they're all the same to me lol Edited July 4, 20241 yr by hinterland
July 4, 20241 yr BBC Graphics aren't up to their usual standard. No ticker across the bottom of the screen telling you declared results by party. This isn't up to the standard I pay my license fee for.
July 4, 20241 yr I have a friend in Rhode Island by the name of Aaron. He works at a pharmacy. Today, one of his regular customers told him that his nephew is Rishi Sunak. He checked his surname, and the customer's surname was also Sunak. He was shocked!

July 4, 20241 yr Is whatever you're looking at lumping Plaid Cymru in with 'other'? The numbers shown on the BBC website have 19 'other' which is 18 Northern Ireland seats + the Speaker. The numbers from the two seats declared so far are both broadly in line with the YouGov MRP projections (they very slightly overestimated Labour and underestimated Reform, which is in line with their overall seat projections being a bit out in the same direction for both than the exit poll). Would have been a surprise to see Reform not comfortably beating the Tories in both. (which does make me struggle to see how Reform are supposed to get to 13 seats, would have expected to see them overperforming a lot more than this if that were the case... small sample size though I guess and early days obvz) anyway I need to go to bed xx OOPS yes thankyou. The poll I saw on Sky said 23 Others which must have included Plaid. 1 Speaker, 3-4 Plaid, 0-1 Corbyn is the normal result.
July 4, 20241 yr The exit poll for Scotland... i- (only around 12 seats for Tories so it's not as bad as it looks but SNP, oh lord)Â
July 4, 20241 yr I'm not panicking yet with Reform, these are broadly in line with the YouGov predictions and very Brexit-friendly seats that have been screwed over by the Tories, does suggest they've definitely overperformed but hopefully doesn't equate to too many seats.

The poll I saw on Sky said 23 Others which must have included Plaid. 1 Speaker, 3-4 Plaid, 0-1 Corbyn is the normal result. this is the exit poll forecast for Islington North: Close contest: Chance of: Other gain 34%, Conservative gain 33%, Labour hold 33%. definitely going to be one of the seats to watch, rooting for Jeremy ofc
July 4, 20241 yr SNP are over. I disagree. They just need to have a really strong campaign going into 2026. Behaviour of the electorate in Holyrood elections compared to general elections can differ, and while I don't want to sound like a parrot for what they're saying on every channel I do think they'll be suffering because this election has become so focused on Labour delivering the change and steering the ship firmly away from the Tories.

July 4, 20241 yr nice to see a healthy showing for Green/Lib Dems though is to be expected in inner-city areas. ignoring the high reform figure and instead choosing to laugh at the Tories dreadful showing
July 4, 20241 yr So that's 3 third places out of 3 so far for the Tories. Â Shame that it's also 3 2nd places out of 3 for Reform.
