It was actually fun having Stuart back. Him and Rainie were great together and they really rehabilitated him as a character after the dodgy first year without ignoring his past at the same time.

Ben, however, we never need to see again imo. I never enjoyed his and Callum’s relationship. The show acted like they were a fairytale romance but the relationship was always toxic and Ben always emotionally abused Callum. It’ll be nice for Callum to be in a decent relationship for once.

Zero chemistry with Square Head, bur at least he's not with a 2 bit gangster anymorw

I wasn't craving Stuart or Ben back and I'd be quite happy for them to remain away now, but I'm fairly sure Ben will be back before long to spread misery and make everyone unhappy, yet somehow come across as the hero rolleyes

Quite honestly I don't really enjoy Callum either, a wet blanket of a character, and there's just no chemistry with Johnny either.

Bit of an odd and abrupt ending with Joel there but its setting up for tomorrow and the documentary too I guess.

I had always assumed Phil had told Ben about his mental health struggles earlier this year so to see it play out on screen was a surprise but the scene was lovely between the three of them. This version of Phil is amazing (truly showing how Steve was deserving of that NTA a few weeks back).

100% THIS!!! to ALLLLLL of THAT!!!!!!! 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

CACKLING at Priya’s assessment of Suki’s parenting so far ‘one’s banged up, another’s barely speaking to you and the other one’s Vinny!’ 😂

I must be in the minority that would love a Ben return. He’s a fascinating character and Max plays him well. 🫢

I don't mind if Ben returns full time but on the basis that he isnt overused, there was a stage there before he left that he was stuck in nearly every storyline and scene and it was overall kill, sometimes less is more.

Today's episode is phenomenal. Harrowing from start to finish but it had to be, for such a storyline to actually hit home with the audience. Max Murray and Alice Haig in particular were outstanding. I really hope it doesn't drop the ball in the aftermath of today's episode now.

Ben is an exhausting character to watch which is unsurprising when he only ever seems to get traumatic storylines. The male counterpart to Whitney!

Ooh Joseph that is promising to read. Looking forward to watching today's episode and the accompanying documentary later.

Wow yeah that was an intense episode,

What’s this documentary?

It's a companion piece to Joel's storyline called Eastenders Investigates: The Manosphere, on iPlayer or BBC3 at 8pm:

The cast of the long-running soap explore the issues raised by Joel’s misogyny storyline. On the way, they meet individuals whose lives were turned upside down by the effects of misogyny and discover those who are trying to change the narrative.

Oh I’ve watched the documentary too now, very good. All so powerful.

Looking forward to Mondays episode now

I think I’d go as far as saying Alice Haig is the best new star for the show since Kellie Bright, she is pure Eastenders through and through.

Alice Haig has been a complete revelation. Vicki will go down as the Eastenders legend her character was always supposed to be because of her.

A very powerful episode. I did roll my eyes a couple of times with the likes of Sharon dismissing some of the behaviour but other than that it was brilliant. It will be interesting to see where it all goes now.

Lovely to see Julie schooling these hapless parents and also seeing that Will Mitchell still exists.

She is very good but they have some great new actors in the show in the last while which is also good.

A very good follow-up today, though I'm a little confused at Vicki being motionless on the floor in one scene to then to collapsing through the doors to the Vic; perhaps timing errors meant scenes showing Vicki getting herself there had to be cut but even a flash of that would've been better than the Johnny/Callum scenes that were interspersed.

Tommy just wants a friend deep down doesn't he, none of this shit, and that's evident in his conversations with his family about all of this misogyny and how it was him that gave up where Joel is. On a level even Tommy knows all of this is wrong and I'm glad it's not being drawn out. Zoe almost telling Tommy about her/Kat's story; I do wonder if that'll eventually come out and how that'll affect him as well.

PLEASE let this week be the end of this drugs story, it's abysmal.
