Maybe he just loves what he does, maybe it was an offer too good to turn down, maybe he did it on purpose to troll people that get so worked up over it. :lol: He can if he wants to. Same with Taylor. I mean, yeah, he can do what he wants but, as always, posters reserve the right to be able to say what they think of it. August 12, 2024Aug 12 I have a mixed reaction to Ed Sheeran - I like some of his stuff, but some is so bland. But, I loved his last Christmas song, so it will be good to see if this is as jolly. Nice to see artists trying to make more modern Christmas songs tbh - this should be celebrated after so much complaining about old Christmas classics clogging up the chart each year :D

August 12, 2024Aug 12 Taylor's releases have also become absolutely incessant in recent times but I don't think she's ever claimed she won't be releasing anything for a whole calendar year and then pulled a SIKE I want another Christmas hit card at least. It’s not actually confirmed that this is actually being released. It could just appear in the film and not be released.Ed seems to change his mind a lot about things. He was supposed to release a big pop album this year but then decided to not release it. I do think that’s do with the fact the current trend in music is country/folk and his album was songs like ‘Shivers’
August 12, 2024Aug 12 What break is he supposed to be on? I've lost track. A Google says that last month he confirmed he was taking a break from recording any further new music this year to focus on a new music initiative for young people and I can see some reports from May, again saying that he wasn't realeasing anything "new" this year. I think we read too much into what he is/isn't saying. This track, in particular, could've been recorded many months ago and so technically isn't "new" but could still get released.

November 27, 2024Nov 27 Just had a first listen to this and I actually really quite like it. Very Ed Sheeran, very different to Merry Christmas and all a bit sad, but a pretty decent song all in all.
