Chvrches narrowly lose out with 'Clearest Blue' down 32–39 as their other hit of the year 'Leave a Trace' gains a bit of support up 60–47. Carly Rae's bigger Buzzjack hit naturally will contend again however 'I Really Like You' loses a bit of support down 22–37. A few more fans of Everything Everything voted this year which results in big gains for two of their entries up 79–41 and 89–38, with a further entry making it to the AQ zone up 52–34. Tame Impala also sees a gain in support with his billion-streams hit 'The Less I Know The Better' narrowly missing the cut up 49–36. Another song from him got a nomination this year which enters at 70, with his more favoured Buzzjack hit yet to feature. Support for Wolf Alice spikes too with 'Silk' the year's biggest climber up 94–42 and James Bay's breakthrough 'Hold Back the River' also leaps 87–56. Whilst the big jumps are mostly for the indie songs there's a little something for the pop and dance fans too with Jess Glynne's two #1 hits rising 78–70 and 64–46. This year's chart revival for Disturbed's cover version of 'Sound of Silence' assists them with a big jump in rising 41–22. One more point for them would have secured a semi-finalist spot, as it would for Kygo whose 'Firestone' sadly misses out this year sinking 15–21. They are tied on 204 points with Calvin Harris who drops 10–20, but had more voters than both other songs. We also get Demi Lovato in as the third replacement which isn't half as great as the other two but something for the pop fans. Tame Impala, Justin Bieber and Hozier also see sizeable gains in support, the latter helped out by 'Too Sweet' becoming his belated second huge hit this year. Years & Years were challenging strongly for the #2 throughout the voting however are remain very close behind Carly and Taylor so can't be ruled out of doing well at the finals. Meanwhile Major Lazer were quite lucky to hold on to their spot against a rising Hozier and Bieber, but I'm pleased they're here.
