January 24, 20251 yr Can’t wait to hear this! I’ve seen Ray of Light comparisons on Twitter so that’s an instant tick for me!
January 25, 20251 yr I kinda love Childlike Things  It doesn’t really fit with the album but whatever, sometimes a song can just be a fun little bop that isn’t anything more. I think overall this might be my favourite album she’s done to date, it is stunning.

January 26, 20251 yr The title track remains one of the best songs of last year and my first listen faves of those I didn't already know are: 'Room of Fools' (this one felt so incredibly freeing and the trancey production is lush), 'Striptease' (loved the beepy, metallic direction and the jungle surprise later on - thought this was quite Eartheater-esque even if she's only credited on the title track) and '24Hr Dog' (v hypnotic and sensual) <3 I feel like 'Girl Feels Good' is something I should absolutely love as it's SO Ray of Light production-wise indeed, hoping that clicks more on further listens. not North West showing up with a Jesus verse in Japanese *_* Edit: okay yeah 'Girl Feels Good' is already hitting harder on listen #2 lmao - add that to the faves pile
January 26, 20251 yr I’m going to need twigs to sit me down and explain ‘Childlike Things’ — the feature and its placement on the tracklist especially dun dun dun
January 27, 20251 yr Listening for the first time this morning and ‘Drums of Death’ is an absolute banger!!

January 29, 20251 yr Looks like this could be a top 3 album for her? Her last and only top 20 album was over a decade ago - what a result that would be
January 30, 20251 yr Wow, what an album! I've been listening to it all week and I'm uncovering new things about it each time, which is sign of a strong album. I know this is an obvious comparison but I hear so much similarity to Kate Bush in the sense that I don't even need to understand the meaning of the lyrics, the things she does with her voice and how it compliments the production just tells its own story. The title track is my favourite - a stunning song with a captivating video. I'm really into the Anyma remix as well, really captures the spirit of the original and transforms it into a hypnotic club track. 'Perfect Stranger' is for sure the most accessible but feels totally at home here. I've seen 'Girl Feels Good' in particular be compared to Madonna's 'Ray of Light' album - I don't disagree, but I picked up more similarities with the French duo Air. 'Room of Fools' reminds me A LOT of Chicane's 'Poppiholla'. Other highlights for me are 'Keep It, Hold It' (love the way jerks in another direction mid-way) and, yes really, 'Childlike Things'! I think that is such a bop and doesn't disrupt the album whatsoever, only enhances! It's only January but it's going to be tough to shift this as my favourite album of 2025.
