Like it so far, don’t love it….but I think this is the right direction for Tension II. It’s supposed to be a harder dance sequel to the original which was oddly mixed with the 80s style tracks. Bring it on Kylie.

 

We’re so lucky lucky lucky to have all this new music rather than 2/3/4 year gaps with the odd track/ Christmas album ha ha.

 

 

I like it substantially more than any of this year's collaborations. Enjoying the production and it has some bite vocally. The verses and bridge are great.

 

It's no Padam Padam or Tension but I'm happy with it.

I like it a lot more than any of the collaborations. It’s catchy and got a gone tune but slightly on the short side. I prefer it to tension but don’t think it will have same longevity as padam padam but hopefully a T40 placing next week. Any news about a physical release?

There was something much cooler about both 'Padam Padam' and 'Tension' than this and 'My Oh My' — I wish she had explored that sound more.

 

Hopefully she does on the rest of the album.

I totally agree. The Chorus are more generic than PP and Tension. But LCA is much better than My Oh My

My feelings exactly. I feel like her team was like OH Kiss and Capital are playing Kylie again, let’s make lots of Kiss/Capital friendly Joel Cory/Sigala (generic) music.

 

Nothing from this era is doing it for me really.

 

I’m not ordering or buying anything for this era (until I’ve heard the album) but I’ve got tickets for the tour, so still supporting Kylie!

It’s true that she’s playing it quite safe these days, hoping to get that second crossover hit. The thing is, Kylie has always been surprisingly daring with her music; releasing Slow as the lead single after a world conquering album, her 90’s output, going country inspired before country was cool – when in need of a comeback. Heck, even Padam is a weird song in some ways. And this is both the reason why her career has had ups and downs, and why she’s had the longevity she’s had.

 

That’s why I’m not sure the more generic songs will hit as hard as they hope. I can’t blame her/her team for trying though, and I’m not complaining: LAC is very good, and is perfect for a live setting 🙂

So I’m 3 or 4 listens in now and for me it smack in the middle of the other four songs from this year.

 

So placing it 3rd from the 5.
