There are a lot of climbers to refresh the semi-final line-up, Beyonce manages to make it 2 songs in the semis with ‘Alien Superstar’ climbing a place to 20 to join ‘Break My Soul’ which slides from 8 to 11. ‘This Is Why’ climbs from 32 to 18 and we have a huge climb for ‘Big Energy’ which surges from 66 to 15 this year. Charli XCX continues a good year by clocking up 2 more Semi-Final appearances; ‘Beg For You’ climbs from 22 to 13 and ‘Hot In It’ surges from 27 to 12, replacing ‘The Motto’ for Tiesto in the semi-finals. Meanwhile ‘Welcome to My Island’ climbs from 14 to 10, ‘The Foundations of Decay’ rises from 19 to 9 and ‘Doomscroller’ surges from 15 to 6th place year, missing out on the top 5 by a point. October 13, 2024Oct 13 Metric missing out on the finals by a point while I'm Good (Blue) gets through is a challenging result to swallow 😂 means a strong song to vote for in the semis at least. I always find it interesting how songs I'd consider quite 'niche' like Let's Eat Grandma and Metric get big support on here while others I'd consider equivalent and if anything slightly better known like Wet Leg, Florence and Fontaines go nowhere. Also interested to see how Fontaines new stuff will do in the 2024 rate next year.

Not many of my noms actually make it through so delighted this did so well ^_^ Doomscroller almost making the top 5, wish I'd have given it 2 more points now Also, shame that BOTA has fallen from the straight to the final group, I'd have thought it would have remained consistently popular so quite the surprise to see it fall behind Afraid to Feel and I'm Good
