From Music Week:

Eighteen weeks after debuting at No.2, Brat rallies 13-1 for Charli XCX, following the release of a new expanded Brat And It’s Completely Different But Also Still Brat edition.

The 12th different album to lead the chart in as many weeks, and the ninth new No.1 album by a female solo artist this year, Brat racked up a 458.82% increase in consumption to 35,949 units (10,962 CDs, 6,905 vinyl albums, 125 cassettes, 435 digital downloads and 17,522 sales-equivalent streams) to become 32-year-old Charli’s second chart-topper, following Crash, which topped the list in March 2022 on consumption of 16,117 units.

In the Top 15 continuously since release, Brat has already achieved consumption of 205,487 units – more than her four previous Top 40 albums combined, these being Crash (62,913 units), Sucker (No.15, 2015, 56,151 units), Charli (No.14, 2019, 40,556 units) and How I’m Feeling Now (No.33, 2020, 26,073 units).

Brat had to overcome a deficit of more than 14,000 in the first of the week’s sales flashes, and its coronation denied that runaway leader – Paul Heaton – from claiming his first No.1 solo album with The Mighty Several.

Come on Charli, get that US #1 just in time for the grammy voting season *_* I feel like she could be a dark horse at the upcoming Grammys.

So happy that Brat finally made it to UK #1 :bratcheeseblock: So deserved!

I received my vinyl on Thursday, and I've just got around to playing it now. For the most part it sounds excellent (there's a few pops at the start of Everything is romantic original but otherwise nothing too bad). Having to split the sticker seal was not good for my OCD, but it had to be done :gaga:

Charli apparently has more sales than Jelly Roll but his team are claiming some of hers shouldn’t count for some reason

Interesting to see that it wasn't close in the end:

1. Jelly Roll - Beautifully Broken (161K) (NEW)

2. Rod Wave - Last Lap (127K) (NEW)

3. Charli XCX - Brat (105k) (+9)

Shame she missed out, even with reaching #2 but 105k in a week months after original release is quite incredible for Charli! :o Does anyone know it’s US sales to date?
Sad that she missed out in the US but delighted she managed #1 here in the UK. This really has been such a strong year for Charli, it’s pretty much beyond any possible expectations and is such a success story
Ugh that is not on! I hope it's safe or your neighbor was able to keep it for you

I've managed to convince my friend in London to buy the signed CD vinyl bundle for me and bring it with when she visits SA in March

I’ve finally located it! A neighbour across the road had taken it in and brought it over this morning. Was gutted on Weds when I arrived home and there was no sign of it but all well now ^_^
