I'd say Charli will be the number 1 album by the end of the week which I'm OK with but equally I want Paul Heaton to hold on as Charli could climb in the next few weeks.

October 16, 20241 yr Is that decline for Coldplay normal? NO. Selling only less than 5% on your second week after opening with almost 240K? Not normal for sure.
October 16, 20241 yr To be fair there have been plenty of examples of fanbase albums selling say 25k in Week 1 and 1-2k in Week 2, so I guess it is like a 10x inflated version of that.

October 17, 20241 yr Charli/Paul might be closer than expected as Paul was on Lorraine today and has slashed his album to try for #1; he’d also restocked his signed CDs and his vinyl which was out of stock this week; he is heavily promoting it. He probably only needs an additional 3K sales from his Tuesday closing position to get #1 which with more signed CDs, the vinyl restocked, the price slashing and his TV appearances and heavy social media push really doesn’t seem impossible now; I’d argue it’s more likely than not Edited October 17, 20241 yr by BellyClarkson
