October 12, 2024Oct 12 The Beaverdonia song was already sent to the main BJSC oop (should probably have asked to see the form to spot any reused songs). Albeit it was over 15 years ago and it was a DNQ so fine to let it slide really unless Meekul wants to do a quick swap out ~ I've also only heard the 2 songs Jade mentioned as far as I remember, was about to say I'm a little surprised 'Psycho Killer' wasn't a top 10 hit but just looked it up and I see it didn't chart here at all?! Both good tunes anyway so off to a good start. Oh my @ Sematary, Pharmakon and Lingua Ignota :cheeseblock: we're getting freaky with those if they're anything like the other songs I've heard from them x Also ikonik new spoopy country names although RIP Percemetery (/ PersephoSpoopyHalloweendoñia) x The band I've sent are tagged as 'deathrock' on RateYourMusic *.* (pretty much staying within my usual wheelhouse of late of post-punk adjacent tunes, this one sung in the Asturian language (similar to but distinct from Spanish) and inspired by Asturian folklore apparently, a direct translation of the lyrics seems a bit word salad but I found a nice paragraph on the meaning of the song here with a bit of Googling x)
