Maybe APT. will be this year's song tussling it out with the Christmas songs to stay up at the business end of the chart in two months from now (like Stick Season last year) if it doesn't burn out quickly and continues its current growth.

Snap Christmas top 10 prediction:

1. Wham! - Last Christmas

2. Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You

3. Amazon Exclusive TBC

4. ROSE & Bruno Mars - APT.

5. Brenda Lee - Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree

6. Sabrina Carpenter - TBC (maybe she'll put out another Christmas song or another album track will go viral)

7. The Pogues feat Kirsty MacColl - Fairytale Of New York

8. Bobby Helms - Jingle Bell Rock

9. Another non-Christmas song, possibly something not released yet

10. Ariana Grande - Santa Tell Me

Assuming Ed & Elton will be on permanent ACR after the first week of December. And that Sailor Song will have gone to ACR by this point.

How are the 1D/Liam tracks holding up in todays update ?

I've a feeling 'Merry Christmas' will get its automatic reset before it reaches 3 years old, and then they'll just keep it on SCR for the rest of the season - whether it goes Top 10 is another question I suppose, but I think it will. Next year it shouldn't get reset of course.

'APT.' certainly sounds like a future #1, and I hope that is the case!

not as fussed over Apt as everyone else, verses ok but chorus doesn't work for me

I think gaga's disease will fill that 9 slot

And i really wanna see buy me presents become a hit. I'm hoping it goes viral after Sabrina's Christmas special.

True, although Band Aid 30 was well out of the top ten before Christmas. If they released Band Aid 40 (if it exists) on Christmas week then it would be a much bigger deal as there would be more media frenzy around it in the race to have a Christmas No.1. Releasing Band Aid 30 in November was a bad idea.
Glad we look to be avoiding a Gracie #1 - fine with “Die With A Smile”, “APT.” or “Sailor Song” getting there really.

Yes, definitely agreed!

I'd ideally like 'APT' preventing a 'Sailor Song' #1 from happening.

I hope if Band Aid 40 does exist perhaps they’ll use a different song for once

seeing as we’ve already had five versions of the song make number one including Ladbaby

Halloween song take long chart on Spotify then Christmas songs

Most of em it's literally the week before although definition of a Halloween song is a lot looser than a Christmas one

I wounded John Lewis gone be this year

Fun fact I discovered yesterday: The real name of Jona Lewie (of 'Stop The Cavalry' fame) is John Lewis!

Can't get enough of "APT.", it's been stuck in my head all day.

Also finally appearing on Amazon at #299.

Amazon tends to be slow with K-Pop. I suspect when it charts Friday Amazon will move it up in its main playlist and it'll start climbing a lot.

I can't see Band Aid 40 (if it happens) not being exactly the same song with minor lyrical tweaks at most. It would also probably go #1 on heavy first week downloads.

I'm sure it was confirmed not long after Band Aid 30 came out that they were not going to do a Band Aid 40. I'd be surprised if they did really, the concept ran its course.

Tyler getting that top 40 debut *.* annoyingly the new album appears to be coming out on a Monday though so that'll kneecap his chart impact this era a bit.

Hopefully APT is the next #1. Easily the best of likely contenders.

Agreed. I want taste to get its last week and then APT can go wild
