November 23, 20241 yr The chart show on 27th December is being replaced by an EOY chart of 2024 according to the r1 website. I think it’s a good idea to have an EOY chart rather than having a top 40 which will be clogged up with Christmas songs They did this last year as well.
November 24, 20241 yr Will that be missing the final weeks sales? We think that week will be the final week that counts towards the year end (and based on last year, that week was included in the Year End Chart Show) and chart sales from 27th December to 2nd January will count towards the 2025 Year End. I'm also fairly confident that Christmas songs will still appear in the top 40 in the January 2nd chart. Edited November 24, 20241 yr by Maestro

November 24, 20241 yr Wham! were #83 on the equivalent chart last year which started on the 29th so I give them a good chance of staying top 40 this year with the chart week starting two days closer to Christmas
November 24, 20241 yr Glad to see the album boost (coupled with a very low bar for the numbers required to be fair) securing a third top 10 week for 'The Emptiness Machine'. I was hoping earlier in the week that 'Heavy Is The Crown' might contend for a new peak too but not quite, pretty close though and pleasantly surprised it actually got a play again, would have assumed they'd skip it with it being right next to their new entry and with a third song to come in the top 10! (also just want to belatedly counter the negativity towards 'Timeless', it's been a bit of a slow burner for me but I like it a lot more than 'Dancing In The Flames' now so glad it's been sticking around x)
