Onya won’t take her foot off of the girls’ necks!! As I said last week she is just so effortless and can pretty much do it all, with no fuss no push she just… kills it. There is such a star power and I just know she believes she has it too, that confidence oozes out and you feel so assured that you’re going to have a good time watching anything she does.

 

Also this is two weeks in a row I would have had Hormona possibly in the top, I think she could have been there over Crystal as Crystal’s main memorable part of the challenge was her rolling across Lana and Lydia’s part :lol:

I thought Crystal killed the challenge and the runway tbh. It was neck on neck with Onya for me, but definitely Crystal runway>>>>Onya's.

 

Kori needs to do something about separating herself from literally bringing us Plane Jane pt.2 (looks and acting challenges). I can't warm up to her for some reasons!!!

 

Lexi is kinda fading on safe territory far too much for me, she needs to step it up!!!

 

And finally Joella gone home!!!

I thought the challenge was quite good this week and most queens did well! And the runways!! So many great looks from the queens on this season. :wub:

 

Judging pretty much on point. Really enjoying season 17 so far!

Drag Race twists flopping is getting to be the most consistent thing about the seasons these days

 

The potions last season meant nothing. The gag cast of Sugar & Spice both flopped. The chocolate bar save impact was lessened after it came after two previous double save episodes (4 if you count the talent show return)

The episode was quite flat. I wasn't a fan on the skits in general.

 

I thought Arietty should've been safe with Kori in the bottom.

 

Honestly I think Onya should've won. Rooting for her to get the crown *_*

 

Also the queens were so bothered in untucked. :lol:

The way it’s only a slight stretch to say Onya could have won all 4 challenges at this point :lol: I’d have given her this over Suzie, the design she easily could have won, and judged normally she absolutely should have been top 2 with Lexi for talent show and I think she would have at the very least run her close in the lipsync.

 

Also Lydia absolutely devouring that lipsync was very unexpected but that was an absolute MURDER!! One of my favourite lipsyncs in recent years I have to say. I kind of wish someone else got the dunk, Arrietty is not my fave at all and not really likeable either, plus I don’t feel like her looks really have a point of view or twist, I don’t vibe with someone who’s whole schtik is just that they have good looks.

Good episode this week and judging pretty on point. Arietty rightly winning - her looks were stunning *_*

 

Happy to see Hormona go, don't think she was going to bring much more than she already has. Although to be honest I don't think she was low/bottom this week, I think Lydia should've been in the bottom as I thought her looks were generally a bit of a mess and not in a fashion kind of way.

Am I the only person who thought the ball was… kinda horrible? Bar Arietty most of the queens had one really good look and the rest were serviceable, all three serviceable, or a couple serviceable ones and the others were trash. Defo agree that Lydia should have been bottom this week, dare I say she should have gone home over Hormona? She struck out all three categories, but Hormona landed in the bottom for playing it too safe? At least her bathing look stood out - she took the brief LITERALLY :lol:

 

Also Suzy or Onya should have been in the top over Crystal, I’m sorry but what did they see in that blowfish dress??? meanwhile Suzy killed it in all three categories, her Escanor bathing beauty was a standout 😭

I have to agree, Arietty was the only one with three good looks.

 

Hormona was unlucky to bottom here, I kinda suspect that her package might have more variety to it if she posts it as the weeks go on. Felt like they just didn't have much interest in her storyline and she wasn't gelling with the other girls but also wasn't starting drama with them.

Lydia in the bottom? That's a choice!

 

I definitely did not think Hormona should've been in the bottom 2 for playing it 'safe' when there were three good looks there! I thought her second look, despite being a similar gown, was absolutely gorgeous. I really am not one of those viewers though that needs variety in every runway, I much prefer someone to just look good and there to be enough variation between which there was this week.

 

I thought Lana deserved to go home this week. She had one good look (very good actually) but the other two were really not it... she is really lacking in star power, charisma, ability and is a bit delusional too - she seems to have really built up her sense of self purely on the fact she has nice makeup, is tall and oils herself up so it gives the essence of that Naomi/Luxx/Symone supermodel drag, but a bottle of moisturiser does not a queen make!

I agree they just clearly didn’t care for Hormona, it could have been Kori over her easily in the bottom and her and Lana are both not giving much. I love Kori off the show, her YouTube is hilarious, but something just isn’t translating on the actual show and especially in the challenges. Lydia’s looks weren’t all perfect but I think at least she has a point of view, I kind of love that crafty DIYness to her aesthetic, you see her looks and know they are Lydia’s and for a Ball package that’s something I would give plus points to.

Her first look was meh and her created look was bad - certainly in the lower end of created looks. Especially compared to the amazing dress Crystal made!

 

Honeslty, Jewels would've been top had her first look not been so basic. Her created look was great and her sea slug look was so good.

What an underwhelming snatch game. Way too many queens and little to no airtime. Rupaul is so messy giving that energy that just creates an opposite effect and makes queens flop even harder. She really barely cares about each cast anymore and isn’t too bothered about being obvious about it. :’)

The track record gays acting like Crystal was going to win the season are driving me INSANE, there was absolutely nothing there, she just kind of scraped a high a couple of times where not many others did well. Maybe it’s easy to say when I knew spoilers but Crystal was so “shock” early out coded. It’s all well and good to technically do what the challenges want, but there was absolutely no spark or viewpoint or originality there, even the lipsync was so sterile and nobody can convince me she won that. Sam is kind of the same but more elevated, I think she has it in her for sure because she brings a spark to characters and has a viewpoint there for sure, but she does need to loosen up. I guess it’s a pageant thing of always being prepared,Trinity wouldn’t let her go to Drag Race without putting her through a boot camp and preparing her :lol:

 

Pretty much agreed with the judging but honestly Arrietty was flat out the worst for me, that was just so so cringe. At least Crystal had a bit of a characterisation even if it was not funny at all, at least Lana was kind of hysterical in how she flopped. I’d have just done a bottom 3 or saved one of them and put Arrietty down there. I agree with the judges on Lexi too, people are calling favouritism but I think there is something to be said for knowing you’re flopping and letting yourself in on the joke, compared to just giving up and giving nothing. Jewels surprised me as she was the easy second best behind Onya, I hate fictional characters but jewels did the best she could with it, if you’re going to do it, make up something stupid like that! Like imagine Lana just made Rosa Parks some party girl on her way to the club or something :lol:

 

Also I am living for Suzie’s delusional villain era bubbling up, I can’t believe she just did an Audrey voice and really thought she would win :rofl: I can see her slowly starting to take everything a bit too seriously, like her Snatch Game was far too studied and prepared and she feels like she’s drifting from the silly campy queen we saw with her episode 1 talent show for example.

One word, oof.

 

Maybe the worst SG flops since S4? In terms of the sheer number that totally flubbed it.

 

Even the winner didn't really have any character specific references.

Most of this cast can't do anything as soon as they leave the workroom... Boot!

 

Arietty is absolutely painful when she has to do anything other than wear clothes — shocked she managed to escape the bottom with that performance. "I'm baby" almost sent me to an early grave.

Disappointing episode. They should've waited a couple more weeks to have less queens for the snatch game as most brought nothing. :lol:

 

I don't think Lexi should've been top at all. I thought Kori should've been as I really enjoyed their Big Ang - shame we didn't get to see more of it.

 

Suzie in untucked :lol: Hopefully she'll loosen back up but I would be here for her fighting a few of the queens.

 

Some great runways this epsiode. Happy to see Jewels in the top :wub: Fast becoming my fav queen of the season.

The immaturity was maybe excusable in a properly young person but that's just a yikes

I agree with most of the comments that this cast is…not casting!!!

 

As much as I agree with Crystal flopping, I thought she could have done and bring some more in this season if she stayed. There’s too many filler queens left and I know they’ll be gone starting from next episode…Kori Queen being one, Arriety, and Lana!!!
