Kori is good TV, give me that over the nothingness Crystal brought. The fan reaction from casuals is driving me insane, saying she was “the winner” and bringing up her track record, like it’s RuPaul’s Track Record Race. Imo a couple of her placements were a stretch, it’s not like Onya or Suzie suddenly got eliminated :lol:

yea honestly crystals elimination was not a total shock to me. i find the uproar a bit undeserved, she really was not serving as much as people say.

 

now that suzie has shown that she can be face cracked, i have a feeling we will lose her at top 5. my current bet for the final is onya, sam, lexi and jewels.

Lydia is giving me nothing & I just know the twink fans will be all over her despite it -_-

Yeah I agree, as I said before I think she has a point of view too and I do kind of love that crafty camp drag sometimes, it just may not always translate to Drag Race in the best way. She’s just kind of there for me but I like her drag, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing necessarily, this is a cast of really strong personalities I agree so she’s hardly going to stand out amongst those kind of people.

 

What’s annoying me is fans have been like “how are Acacia and Lydia still there over Crystal” because they didn’t flop Snatch Game and she did? 😭

sam was 4th for me AT BEST. i thought even arrietty did better and deserved to be in the top. at least the bottom 2 was correct.

Jewels was great too but there is no way Onya didn’t absolute clear that!!! Why on earth was Jamal acting like Onya not getting the choreo straight away was a huge negative when she ate them all up in the end?! Sam was fine but I feel like that’s one of those roles anyone who did it vaguely well would have won because Ru is so obsessed with base level Cher impersonations.

 

I am really growing to love Jewels and still love Lexi but Onya is just leaps and bounds ahead of these girls and is bounding even further ahead. Everything she does is so effortless and polished yet loose and has such a sense of fun and joy. She could easily have 5 or 6 wins by now (she definitely should have been top 2 for the talent show and I think she would have at least given Lexi a run for her money, but probably “just” a top, then she easily won RDR Live for me and of course Snatch Game and the advert parody thing, plus this Rusical, and I don’t think giving her the design is too much of a stretch even), this feels like one if the most dominant runs on Drag Race.

yeah, Sam just did the basic Cher thing and apparently it was enough to win. It was done well but come on, it’s getting a bit ridiculous.

 

I also thought Jewels was pretty much the best, her wardrobe malfunction worked really well there :’)

I was hoping Jewels would win, liked her the best.

 

I am so sick of Cher winning you things, can we ban any Cher-isms/impressions for the next 5 seasons please? :lol: Not to say Sam did a bad job or anything! And Sam's runway was gorgeous!

 

Honestly thought everything pretty much did well and the bottom 2 was right.

 

The lip sync was a bit disappointing. Kori was just too much energy all of the time. And then Acacia I thought started strong and was interested to see where it would go and it went no where. :lol: I was expecting her to progressively strip until revealing like some sort of lingerie outfit.

 

 

 

 

They’ve been striking hot with the guest judges this season. Hunter, Quinta, and especially Adam brought really good insight in their weeks.

 

My analysis during a watch party with friends was that everyone did well in this Rusical so it went down to who did the least and that unfortunately was Kori and Acacia. At the same time these were the roles that had the least to work with - Kori got less lines than Lydia and thus had to rely on their chemistry and Acacia got the Katya Princess Di role - slow ballad where she needed to give more in the acting department bc she didn’t have choreo or a joke-worthy moment like the other roles did. They say there are no small parts, only small actors, but in this competition unfortunately there are small parts and it had to take one of the other queens flopping massively in order for those two to survive. Everyone did well, so they were in trouble by default.

 

I think win could have come down to Onya vs. Sam - Onya fought through the lack of ability to comprehend choreography and Sam got a role that pushed herself creatively and that made for good storylines. Jewels has been surprisingly me lately - either she’ll get a win late game or she’ll have a random bad week that sends her home and she turns it out on All Stars 12 or something

 

idk why but im not feeling a lot of the lip sync song choices. We had Alter Ego and Buttons sure but after Canada and UK had amazing off kilter picks im just not impressed by the catalog the US season has been giving

Onya is eating these girls up every week. I can’t see any other queen winning the season

 

The critiques about her taking a while to learn the choreography though? How bizarre when she killed it

Have to agree with Cody there hasn't really been many actually 'good' lipsyncs or song choices so far!

 

I did think Arrietty and Lexi were pretty lucky this episode that Acacia and Kori fumbled this just a bit worse. Kori's role was very hard to make work though and Acacia's came at a difficult time in the show to make impactful - I kind felt the Rusical went off the rails after her number.

 

Drag Race Philippines 3 is unbothered with Wicked themed Rusicals.

 

I would give Onya this win with Suzie a strong second (technically that role was the hardest with the dance and singing elements imo) and then Jewels, and only then Sam. Although she did well for sure that Cher role was kinda set up to be the breakout character so it was easier for her to make a splash, imo.

Onya is an absolute icon. From the Meet The Queens I loved her lots but she's done better than I ever could've guessed - really, REALLY has to win

They need to go back to Ru’s 1980s cassettes for lipsyncs again tbh

Ye I agree the lip syncs this season have been fairly uninspired and the queens not that great in them. Hoping we may get 1-2 really great ones still to come though especially as we start whittling down to only strong queens left (probably still a few weeks away from that).

 

I loved Onya from the meet the queens and was my early fav. Glad to see she's been delivering and eating up the competition! I feel like she has a really good shot to win if she makes it to the final. Although Jewels is definitely on the up and up so will be interesting to see if she can get a couple wins in the coming weeks.

Its also wild that we are midway through & 3 queens still haven't placed above safe!

After that lipsync the other week Lydia should have been in the bottom every week purely to be able to serve that much again

Lydia having the two best lipsyncs of the season but bringing absolutely nothing else is kind of iconic of her

So happy for Jewels! ❤️

Honestly I thought Onya should've been bottom over Lydia but given Kori & Lydia's relationship it was obvious what was going to happen.

Lydia turning out the two best lip syncs this season though! *_* I think that was my favourite lip sync so far this season!
