Seems mad to me that These Dreams has only just been certified.

Great to see another Mis-Teeq certification too.

That's an interesting list! From Eva Cassidy & Katie Melua - What a Wonderful World onwards, they're all charity singles. So the last "normal" #1 (without an attachment to charity) to be uncertifi

Very pleased to see 'Slow' finally get passed the Silver mark. Strange it's taken so long, it's much more of a classic than its sales would suggest and doesn't deserve to be a part of this list of #1

'Sunny Afternoon' is a brilliant and appropriate platinum certification this week with the lovely weather we've had!

Yay 'Acquiesce' too, one of many iconic Oasis B-sides.

Good for Måneskin getting another certification despite 'SUPERMODEL' missing the top 40. 'Fly On The Wings Of Love' of course Eurovision-adjacent as well... what a great chart run that had, with quite a few low top 10 weeks over a sustained period.

I assume it's because it was released as a double-A side with "Never"? The song by itself peaked at #62 on the UK chart. So happy to see it certified now though!

Both versions of These Dreams together sold 132,889 in the eighties bringing the total to 332,889 units.

wow Shania 3,600,000 for Come On Over

and also Morcheeba's triphop classic album Big Calm doing 600,000, that's fantastic, very under-rated band

Hopefully 'Acquiesce' and 'Talk Tonight' will be present on the re-issued 'Some Might Say' single - what a treat that must have been for anyone who bought it originally.

'Upside Down' platinum - also a classic wub

^As they did with Whatever, they're altering the tracklistings and only including 1 song as b-side of the 7"

this time Some might say only includes Talk Tonight but. not Acquiesce

Great to see my favourite songs by Ariana and Billie achieving new platinum top ups this week!

Yay 'Violet Hill' going gold plus silver certifications for the beautiful 'Here, There and Everywhere' and 'Gods & Monsters' too. What a time to be alive when the latter went top 40 for Lana due to an EastEnders trailer. How the TV and streaming landscapes have changed in a decade!

OMG Fiona Apple's Tidal certified silver as well - what an album 😍

I was so pleased to see "Gods & Monsters" FINALLY get a certification. It's my favourite song from the "Paradise" era.

Do we have a total estimate for Everywhere including pre-1994 sales?

Around 3.75m (it did 142k in 1987)

Natalie Cole - "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)"

Love to see this go platinum! The Dida Ritz lip sync has definitely had a positive effect on the streaming of this song over the years (as well as being a great song)! It's gaining certifications quicker as well - Silver in 2020, gold in 2023 now Platinum in 2025. Might see a 2x platinum by the end of the decade.

The Veronicas - "Untouched"

Great to see this go platinum as well! Can't believe it's been over 14 years since release.

Christina Perri - "you are my sunshine"

Such a random silver certification for Christina! Part of a lullaby album. Looking into it more it went viral in 2024 "The song became associated with a viral internet meme in 2024, after it was part of a video featuring NBA player LeBron James, in which Christina Perri's cover of the song is played over a heavily edited portrait photo of James, intended to mock obsessive and defensive fans of James, framing him as their sunshine". But honestly Christina sounds so beautiful on it! Likely going to become the best-selling/streamed version of the song.
