January 6, 20251 yr I can't believe this has happened. Heartbreaking just after Christmas as well and New Year. I hope she had some time to spend with her loved ones before this happened and wasn't just working the whole period - as can be the case for entertainers.

January 6, 20251 yr This is one that's really left a lump in my throat all day. Found out last night at work, via one of her friends who was performing and dedicated a tribute to her, and it still didn't feel particularly real. I think, for anyone who is a fan of drag, specifically British drag, this is an immeasurable loss. Probably the biggest drag queen in the country, the one pushing into mainstream and showing the world just how good our drag can be, and now that's gone aged 32. Some "celebrity" deaths really do stop you in your tracks and this is one of the biggest ones ever I can think of.
January 6, 20251 yr What keeps breaking me is all the queens sharing specific memories of her, nearly every single queen has shared how specifically kind and enlightening she was, how she guided them and had time for everyone. She was at the top of her game but never ever let it go to her head and had kindness in spades just as much as she had talent.

March 18, 20251 yr As I've seen mentioned online before, I think Viv was the kind of person who would be satisfied with her death being used as a warning to others to be careful. I myself wasn't aware that this could happen as a result of ketamine use, whether or not the drug directly caused it or exacerbated some existing health issue she hadn't been aware she had.It's brave of the family to share it. I'm also personally relieved to hear that she wasn't murdered, although it's still obviously tragic that she passed under any circumstances.
