December 9Dec 9 Think the "last week" column is showing as this week's for some of these.Billie grabs another week top 10 as expected - 'The Days' drops out after being there for weeks 3 to 48.(I do hope 'I Run' doesn't have as long a run in 2026, being its successor as the most prominent carryover dance hit...)

December 9Dec 9 I had a feeling Another Love would be back - thinking Mutt and Burning Down will be replaced by Wham and Mariah in the YE chart and otherwise every other song will remain, shame for Dakota!
December 9Dec 9 TFOO storming into top 40 makes up for the year IION? Was one of the only number ones not to be EOY top 100
December 11Dec 11 Author Seems Radio 1 will be doing a chart of the year show on Boxing Day, presumably based on Week 51 figures. I think even “Last Christmas” may not make it by then, which could be good news for “Mutt” and “Dakota” making the premature countdown!
December 11Dec 11 Why wouldn’t it be week 52 figures? Pretty sure they ran chart of the year on 27/12 last year with the final numbers

December 11Dec 11 Author Oh yeah it will be Week 52 - I was getting confused about the dates in my head oops.

December 11Dec 11 Author The sales week including Christmas Day is always the last week of the year and the sales week including New Year’s Day is always the first week of the next year. It does makes some sense from a chart perspective as the week all the Christmas songs vanish will always be the New Year chart.
December 11Dec 11 Not sure I agree (especially given I predict Wham! to be top 10 on the new year chart this year).IMO whichever year the last week of the year has more days in should be the chart it contributes to. In this case the week after Christmas has 6 days in 2025 so should contribute to the 2025 YE.
Thursday at 15:465 days Will Wham be in the top 10 on 2nd Jan? It’ll be on acr and have streams of 400k max on Friday 26th?
Thursday at 15:505 days Will the units between Friday 26th December and Wednesday 31st December be counted towards 2025 or 2026? Edited Thursday at 15:505 days by DanielCarey

It’ll be on acr and have streams of 400k max on Friday 26th? Yeah Top 10 seems a stretch to me too given Boxing Day is like a typical December day and streams drop off sharply after that. However it did make #83 in the week starting on the 27th last year. Definitely Top 40 and maybe just about Top 20 I’m thinking.
Thursday at 16:025 days Looking likely it will be a 52 week year unfortunately, in 2019 when the Fridays fell on 26th/2nd they counted the week announced on the 2nd for 2020's YE list.EDIT this is wrong the Fridays were on 27th/3rd. Last time the 26th/2nd happened was in 2010/11 I believe and they counted the 2nd to 2010, Radio 1 broadcast the YE chart on 26th so it ended up being outdated. Will be interesting to see what they do Edited Thursday at 16:075 days by gasman449
