Poor Rose likely beaten by fake estimated spotify streams , this lola song is meh

The real streams would have gone in Lola's favour anyway.

Well done Lola!

Feel sorry to APT. as they deserved at least a week at #1 during one of those Gracie weeks.

Poor Rose likely beaten by fake estimated spotify streams , this lola song is meh

surely if all artists are subject to the same estimation process then it's a level playing field for all songs? ;p

Well done Lola, great song and much deserved number one!

I feel like Jack kinda gave it away around #31 saying it was "Lola up against Gracie". I did think 'Messy' had just about done enough anyway.

Well seems it's not meant to be for 'APT.' - 10 weeks Top 3 without #1 is also how many 'Prada' and 'Good Luck, Babe!' had but it could add more, think the record is 13. WD Lola anyway!

Biography

Navigating UK rap stardom is a tricky thing, but Aitch has it down pat. He’s chameleonic like the pop stars he collabs with, gritty like the grime artists that inspired him. Born Harrison Armstrong in Manchester in 1999, Aitch grew up removed from the London scene, where grime blossomed during his formative years, but soaked up the music from afar. Then, as a teenager, he started rapping, building a following online with his snaking flows and dizzying rhyme schemes. Things took off in 2018 when he dropped his menacing debut single “Straight Rhymez,” and Aitch has since risen to the pantheon of UK hip-hop. In tracks like the 2019 remix of Ed Sheeran’s “Take Me Back To London,” you’ll hear his transition away from grime to sticky pop-rap, but his dexterous raps remind that he hasn’t lost touch with his roots. - Apple Music

Biography

For a band that started out relying mostly on acoustic instruments and barely any drums, Mumford & Sons fashioned a mighty big sound from the get-go. They could be regarded as folk-rockers, but the band—formed in West London in 2007—harness the kind of passion, power, and inspirational drive usually associated with the likes of U2. Main man Marcus Mumford and his cohorts Winston Marshall, Ted Dwane, and Ben Lovett (all of whom play multiple instruments) began building their following from the ground up in and around London before releasing a string of DIY EPs and finally earning enough attention for Island Records to release their debut album, Sigh No More, in 2009. In an electronic-saturated pop era, that record's blend of back-porch picking and arena-ready presence leaned un-self-consciously in the opposite direction, invoking their native folk traditions as well as those of the U.S. But it was 2012 follow-up Babel that really cemented Mumford & Sons' star status. Its first single, the banjo-charged, passionately swelling "I Will Wait," became an intercontinental smash, and the folk-rock floodgates opened. The band's success cleared a path for kindred unplugged spirits like The Lumineers, but by the time Mumford & Sons released their third LP, 2015's Wider Mind, they'd already evolved into another phase, tamping down the folk and amping up the rock, a process they further refined over the next three years, achieving an even more widescreen sound on Delta. - Apple Music

Biography

Central Cee brings a brazen yet conscientious perspective to the hardened UK drill scene. Born Oakley Neil H.T. Caesar-Su in 1998, he was raised in the Shepherd’s Bush suburb of West London. At 13, he began making music that was heavily influenced by the late 2Pac, and further honed his mic skills by listening to contemporary rap juggernauts J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar. Initially attracted to the melodic UK trapwave sound of the late 2010s, Cee embraced drill production on 2020’s “Loading,” a boastful song that doubled as an open space for him to reflect on his harsh come-up. Central Cee’s debut mixtape, 2021’s Wild West, saw the MC making revelatory confessions on tracks like the standout “Commitment Issues.” The 2022 single “Doja,” which sampled Eve and Gwen Stefani’s 2001 hit “Let Me Blow Ya Mind,” highlighted his ability to craft clever songs that connect with his insatiable audience. With the Drake-assisted “On The Radar Freestyle” and “Sprinter” with fellow UK rapper Dave—both released in 2023—Central Cee’s artistic reach has expanded from regional to global. - Apple Music

Biography

A style-shifting pop star who got her start as a teen dance prodigy, Tate McRae is every bit a dynamic multi-hyphenate. Born in 2003 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, she worked her way up to the finals on So You Think You Can Dance at age 13, following other impressive milestones as a live performer. McRae answered her overnight TV success by uploading a series of singles that showcased the preternatural depth of her singing and songwriting. Signed to a major label when she was 16, she struck gold globally with 2020’s “you broke me first,” adding ominous trap beats to an intimate lament. But rather than be pigeonholed by weepy ballads, McRae quickly showcased her full range with convincing forays into dreamy alt-rock and purring R&B on 2022’s i used to think i could fly. Coming off even more emboldened on 2023’s THINK LATER, she greets her entry into her twenties with a well-earned sense of confidence on tracks like the chirping kiss-off “exes.” Echoing her penchant for inhabiting a deep bench of musical styles without breaking her stride, she seems just as much at home in the role of a nonchalant heartbreaker as in the role of the one at home nursing a broken heart. - Apple Music

Not really look at the Halloween songs last year

Not understanding the hype for ‘Messy’ at all. Genuinely think I’d rather another week of ‘That’s So True’… but gutted for Rosé! ‘APT.’ shoulda been a multi week #1… instead we’re gonna get a Central Cee/Dave collab at number 1 for endless weeks :drama:

true however it's not Halloween :P

Never said it was i just proved your point wrong :P

Very odd Messy could overtake a 1000 sales in 2 days. Especially with those Korean bots. Disappointed but its still an excellent No1.
Messy is a great #1 but that's so unlucky for APT. #2 by a narrow margin behind three different songs! Feels very Moves Like Jagger

I looked up the sales of Kate Nash - Foundations yesterday, crazy that it missed out by less than 200 copies to 'Umbrella', then increased in sales by more than 50% only to lose out to 'The Way I Are' by 16 copies! I'm not sure if 'APT.' will be that close, but to miss out narrowly to multiple different songs is unlucky indeed.

They're not "Korean bots", they're only benefiting Jimin, not ROSÉ.

Me neither listened to it a few times and other than how many times she uses the F word I never remember how it goes later , just doesn't seem that memeorable
