As an Apple user myself (iPhone / iPad) I also use Safari and haven't encountered this... yet.

Currently using iPadOS 18.3.1 and has been working fine since Day 1.

I think I can go one step further on the OS and that should drag Safari at least a step further with it. But I don’t think I can get the most up to date version as my MacBook is too old to get MacOS updates and if I remember rightly Safari updates tend to be linked to MacOS updates

The issue clearly stems from having an out of date iOS or Safari on the device you're trying to post from.

I am not in a position where I am able to update my phone so is there anything else that can be done to allow me to post on it?

Looks to be old versions of safari not doing well. Can you try a different browser?

The same issue occurs when trying to reply to a blog.

When sending a PM, I am able to type in the recipient field and subject field but am unable to type an actual message as I see the same issue

Ok let me test some stuff over the weekend. Changing browser might help and allow you to install one that is more lightweight. Regardless leave it with me and will come back on this

While understandably frustrating this is pretty much the way of the world, no? 👀 Older versions of anything become incompatible as newer versions are released, so not really a problem with the site that needs fixing?

yeah so true. I would still like to see a degraded experience for people with older setups. For example just a textbox, nothing else. You are able to get involved but dont have all the added functionality.

best bet in the mean time is try other browsers. Chrome for example is generally more compatible.
