Assuming The Giver will be a massive hit I hope Ordinary can just do enough to bag number one this week, can't see quite it happening though

Why would The Giver will be massive hit for sure?

It's 180 from her "normal" sound, we heard the song months ago (SNL Live) and I can't find it that good (and I think her album is amazing),

I don't know if it's gonna be that massive.

I wish Ordinary would get this week but it's a bit too late for it.

I'd like to see The Giver open with 500k+ on Spotify, people are surely crying out for new music by this point, not just from Chappell, one of the biggest breakthrough acts of recent times, but just big new music generally. Sales at the top end are so low that I'd hope she can manage at least a 45k weekly chart sale from the goodwill of The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. I loved the sound of the track on SNL personally, very excited for the studio version.

Ordinary was 4k behind on Monday so 1 is out of the question but hopefully it can keep growing for next week. The Giver is hard to predict I wouldn’t be surprised with anywhere in the top 10

Even if people don't like Chappel's new song, I still think it's going to open with pretty huge numbers given it's her first release since her massive breakthrough.

How it fares through the week will be the real test but I could see it quite easily getting to #1 with less than 40k.

I have a feeling it will be pretty massive and easily #1 considering how low sales are just now and like mentioned the charts are crying out for a big new release right now

Chappell and Ariana are our biggest chances for massive new 2025 hits

Surely Chappel bound to get a few curiosity streams no matter how good or bad the song is , she been inescapable for almost a year

Gigantic in my books is starting at least with 700K+, and being stable around 600K+ the whole week. Let's see.

That or getting enough 99p cd singles ready is taking longer than initially expected.

I would of said more than 1m+ streams for gigantic anything else is just big

I was trying to be moderated, I don't think this song can do 1M streams, I mean it's a country song, she's very big now that's true but even with that she never passed the 500K mark, with much bigger songs and push.

We need to wait and see, I think people are expecting way too much from that song, that we've heard months ago, so no surprises there.

Just realised Adele's "Hometown Glory" appears to be going viral or gotten a big boost from something (Edit: Just seen it's TikTok!)? It's rising on Amazon, Apple Music & Spotify when it usually doesn't trouble the top 200 on any of them?

Amazon: #50

Apple Music: #69 (+25)

Spotify: #120 (+27)

Not that I'm complaining, beautiful song. Would love it if this is sustained and gets a reset. wub

I imagine it’s to see how well Chappell does first. Releasing the week after isn’t the best idea if she takes off.

Irrespective if it can or can't, I stand by anything less than 1m+ is not gigantic , anything between 500k and 1m is just simply big

Was tongue in cheek , I do think people have lofty expecting for the Chappel track, and it would start lower (except day 1) and grow if it's good

The week after would be a good shout as it's currently his only completion, mid to late April he could actually be setting himself up for a bigger fight
