Good to see Steven Wilson at number 1 today but I'm assuming he won't be able to hang on there all week. He's in full prog mode on this album with a 23 minute song on side 1 and an 18 minute song on side 2.

And in the singles chart Sleep Token are on progressive rock/metal mode too (well as much as 6:29 can provide)! Good week for progressive rock then!

  • I had to double take at that pic of Chappell in the OP, thought it was Jess Glynne at first.

  • I guess I was sort of hoping Chappell would hold on because it’s nice to see turnover at the top and Alex will probably get there next week anyway. But I can’t get excited at all about either song - a

The vinyl of the remix album are separate because they don't contain the original album (unlike the digital release and CDs), meaning the vinyl can't be combined with the original.

Just Sabrina I think, but that was her first chart topper returning to the top after her second so technically Chappell would be the first!

Yeah but then didn't PPP return to the top when espresso hit acr so she counts

Nice to see the expanded version of Snow Patrols album at least showing in the top 40 for now, hopefully will stay top 75.

Yes that’s a really lovely surprise, it’s a great album! I love a bit of space rock. Was considering getting the blu-ray version, do you think it’s worth the extra investment?

As mentioned by others, the new Sleep Token single feels very prog influenced too so I’m happy with the charts this week!

Some good news, it's #43 on Shazam. Fantasy peaked at #64, so that's a really good sign IMO.

Oop this was meant to be for the Jade thread, well - ENJOY

I notice since she finally had the age restriction removed from the video the views have doubled.

The blu-ray version doesn't seem to include the visuals that were made for the whole album which I would expect if I were buying it. I don't own a blu-ray player so I don't know how much it improves the sound compared to a CD.

Oh no, didn’t realise the visuals weren’t included! I agree probably not worth the extra then. Thanks for the info, saved me a few pennies!

Ah thats a shame, would have liked Chappell to have got it this week. Alex was bound to hit the top spot soon anyways. Maybe Chappell can get it at some point?

Surprised Chappell didn't hold on a little bit longer but was half expecting her to fall by Friday anyway.

Boo, and he's even 600 copies ahead already :/

According to Official Charts Company data, little under 600 chart units currently stand between Alex and Chappell and the top spot, meaning we could be in for a photo-finish end to this week's chart race.

Chappell been overtaken by the TikTok nobody

Kind of ironic when this time last year Chappel was essentially a nobody 😅

If Alex gets #1, I hope he becomes one of the few one week #1 we get this year and that Chappell gets it next week

Seems like he’s only growing in popularity. Unless something blows up in the next week , he’s got the number one for a couple of weeks I should imagine
