I don't understand why the international release for the movie is 5 weeks after her album release. It's really baffling!

I think this is my ranking of the album:

  1. Walk of Fame

  2. Every Girl You've Ever Loved

  3. Golden Burning Sun

  4. End of The World

  5. Pretend You're God

  6. Reborn

  7. Give Me Love

  8. Easy Lover

  9. Something Beautiful

  10. More To Lose

The top 4 are career bests, imo. 5-8 are all fantastic and I really enjoy the last 2 in context of the album, but less likely to play these away from the album (unless they're on shuffle etc..)

Just such a great album! I think this is my album of the year so far.

I will say that End of the World is quite possibly the best single Miley ever released and that it did next to nothing is baffling. It deserved Top 10 at least and to stick around until at least ACR

Loving this, especially the second half. The one-two punch of Walk of Fame/Pretend You’re God… two of her absolute best back to back. Can’t unhear ‘we’re so beautiful, arseholes go back and forth’ i

I'm not sure what it is as I really like some of the tracks but I find the album quite loud and difficult to get into - that being said I do love walk of fame and reborn

I am really saddened by how this era has played out and how disinterested the world seems to be towards it because it's another great album from her. It appears they may be "pushing" Every Girl You've Ever Loved as a single of sorts but it will fall on deaf ears unfortunately. Such a shame for the album to go largely ignored by the GP.

This 100% it's so bizarre

Oh I don't like that :( I really don't like artists talking smack about their own work - especially such a recent release. I don't have any issue about them saying they've changed, the sentiment of the song doesn't reflect where they are now etc... but those songs made us your fan, you know? And Plastic Hearts is in my opinion her greatest album.

As far as Something Beautiful is concerned, I actually haven't revisited it once since my first listen (other than a couple of songs which made my playlist), which isn't like me for Miley. But nothing is drawing me back...

This is a great listen, especially on this topic — I know Miley has a history of dismissing previous albums, but she provides context for everything here. It's hard not to view these eras in a completely different light after listening to her explain everything behind them, and she does say she loves how much her fans love music that she doesn't
