Sound Of Music soundtrack has spent 71 weeks at number 2 😆 might be the most for an album by an actual artist though. Will have a quick investigation

After a bit of research Sabrina has just been pipped to the post by Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel on 23 weeks! She will surely overtake though.

Bridge Over Troubled Water also spent 84 weeks in the Top 5 from debut - that will be tough to beat, however the album that came closest since is Ed Sheeran's = with 42 weeks, so Sabrina currently on 34 could surpass that.

Out of curiosity (this question is also for gasman), how do you go about finding these kinds of things?

I just piece them together from other lists, info or things I've looked up in the past. In this case I checked a load of opening runs from consistent selling albums at the time of Ed Sheeran's = as it seemed to defy the odds to stay Top 5 for so long.

well it is dumb to buy the same record with a printed autograph and then a few more same versions of the same album. If you think about it its the same people buying the same record in different versions she`s released over the course of a year. I never said she is untalented, just not as talented as her marketing skills.

They have actually and very recently - The Darkness had over 46 versions I think including Christmas versions over Christmas…And a live album for every date they played on tour.

I’m sure they’re are others too but it’s hardly uncommon for artists to have multiple variants and bundled items it’s just Taylor has a way bigger fanbase.

I don’t see the hate personally she wants to dominate the charts / break records etc where’s the issue?

You’re also assuming the same fans are buying all versions, she’s already had and sold over 50k signed art card versions of this album so it’s not like this is a new version.
