May 30May 30 Just realised someone sent a track by Max Dean/Luke Dean/Locky here ahead of their new single coming out of seemingly nowhere to debut in the UK top 20, oh my x(will give this a listen tonight and aim to do a second listen tomorrow before voting)
May 31May 31 Author @Addy! @Ansel @awardinary @Brer @Chez Wombat @Cody Piastri @CowTzy @dandy* @Jade @J00prstar @TheSnake and Leww xVotes in today please!
May 31May 31 Author it's quite normal for half of us to leave voting until deadline day so hopefully we can still get a full, ahem, house.
May 31May 31 Oh god I somehow hadn’t even noticed this had started errrr I’ll try to listen properly today and vote! 🫣
May 31May 31 Oops sorry for leaving this until the last day! I'm working through it now... didn't think I recognised much by name but I actually do know the Felix song! I am also familiar with the gorgeous Jorja Smith version of 'Rose rouge' but didn't know the original sent here, sounding lush right now.
May 31May 31 Voted!Weirdly I became aware of the OG 'Strings of Life' just this week as a podcast I've been catching up on ('the 2000s chart show' that goes through the U.K. top 40 this week 20 years ago) was chatting about the 2005 vocal version, then the host spoke of their love of the original and played a clip. Good to hear that in full for the first time through this contest. The closing track from Starchaser also sounded familiar, probably from being a top 40 hit.
May 31May 31 Paid my rent xI had kind of low expectations for this theme as I didn't love the previous house-focused edition (albeit that being narrower in scope) so pleasantly surprised at the general quality across the board here.
June 1Jun 1 oh shit, I really thought the deadline was tomorrow ughhhhhhhLet's pretend I submitted my votes at 23:59 Edited June 1Jun 1 by Addy!
June 1Jun 1 Great... If this was an edition of BJSC then I'd definitely be thinking there is a track here that will run away with it, but I'm not sure whether the voting demographics will be the same here
