Yesterday at 19:181 day Capital played this on the Big top 40 (Put it at 4) sounded SO GOOD on the radio if it doesn’t go top 40 it’ll be such a shame.
Yesterday at 19:311 day If it's not top 20 on first look I have doubts it'll make the top 40 ☹️Unless some kind of magic trick is played during the week.
Yesterday at 20:021 day I hate how the charts work in the streaming era. I've said it before but at least in the 'sales' era you would have artists performing on every TV show possible, doing magazines, interviews, CD signings etc desperately pushing their single into the top ten. Nowadays you can do everything in your power to promote your song but if it isn't on a Spotify playlist then it's doomed. So unfair and so boring to witness as well.

The latest Sam Fender song is hardly on any playlists but top ten on streaming platforms. I still think it's a game of how large and dedicated fanbase an artist has. The difference between today and 20 years ago that the small fanbase takes an artist to top 100 instead of top 10/20. Lisa Scott-Lee went top 20 with only 11k people or so buying the record. 11k people streaming Plastic Box takes it absolutely nowhere. If there are only 500k Jade fans GLOBALLY, it's very tough for her to get hits. But not having hits is not the end of it all. Marina is still recording and getting top ten albums despite not having bothered UK top 40 on singles chart in 7 years. I can see Jade going that route which would be absolutely fine in the long run. Edited 16 hours ago16 hr by Sour Candy
13 hours ago13 hr I think it might scrape top 100. The video views are a lot lower and it’s already falling on iTunes. I really don’t understand why it’s not doing better it sounds so big on radio and to me it’s her second best single AOMD.
12 hours ago12 hr Such a massive shame, I've said it before but I'll say again that it's always going to baffle me that Leigh Anne and Perrie got second singles added to Hot Hits UK but Jade never got anything added beyond Angel, despite showing a lot more promise.

I can see Jade going that route which would be absolutely fine in the long run. This is the key thing — and what I thought her label understood, before all the delays and shenanigans. There is a lane for her as an acclaimed 'cool' pop artist (Charli pre-Brat, Marina, Carly, etc) who can make money as a touring and festival act. She might get hits along the way, she might not. It's fine, she'll still have a niche dedicated fanbase that will get her albums into the charts, sell out shows, and have more freedom to make the music she truly wants. I understand coming from Little Mix and also wanting her to get smashes because she is deserving, but there are so many other routes for artists these days — especially for someone like her. I would think differently if she had no creative vision or was releasing obvious made-for-TikTok drivel.
11 hours ago11 hr I agree she even said herself she wants to be a touring / festival act! It’s just worried me that RCA seem to want her to have streaming hits. Everything Jade’s said about the delays has been the label wanting to build her streaming. It’s understandable but I just hope they are fully on board.Genuinely, have never been so invested in anyone at least not for a long time. I just want her to have her flowers because it’s rare we actually have an artist that is a genuine pop fan and wants to give us everything! (I’ve said that so many times haha) Edited 11 hours ago11 hr by Mr. C. Joel

8 hours ago8 hr I really enjoy this although it's taking a while to grow on me; I don't find it as instant as her other songs. Having said that, her run of singles so far has been so impressive. I honestly think she's one of the BEST pop girlies around and I'm not just saying that because I love/d Little Mix - the lyrics, production, vocals, videos, styling - EVERYTHING.I am disappointed that despite critical acclaim she's not getting the commercial success that she deserves. Her album is shaping up to be one of the most exciting pop releases in recent years. I have already resigned myself to her being a "fan fave" pop artist like Jessie Ware with lots of success but not mainstream.
