you can quote stats all day long about 1 thing and another - doesn’t mean it’s any good - especially in this day and age when the same sh!t songs are endlessly sticking around cos people haven’t moved on.

It’s very rare for a song to be universally successful if it isn’t a good song. Of course music is subjective but some people just have poor taste at the same time
