James Milner becomes the oldest scorer from the penalty in the Premier League.

And the second oldest in general after Teddy Sheringham, still the only 40+ year old player to score.

But more impressively Milner is now both the second youngest and second oldest goalscorer in premier league history!

Interesting really as your style under Nuno suited you. Is the change away due to your owner wanting a more expansive style of football? Of course it’s way more exciting to watch, but it’s so hard to turn in to a pressing machine.

I really enjoyed watching us last year, thought it was exciting to move the ball forwards so quickly and with so much success, he'd done an incredible job with what we had. Our one sale was for probably the player that made that work most in Elanga. I think any change is coming from above, Nuno wanted Adama Traore who would have been a good short-term option for playing the Elanga role who wouldn't have taken much bedding in, but refused to be sanctioned from Edu who's the new main man across Marinakis' whole network of clubs. It's clearly annoyed Nuno as he's said in his press conferences about the relationship being worse than it was.

Two defeats already from the first three matches for Manchester City. I had a look through the final league tables of every season in the Premier League era and the most amount of games a Premier League winning team lost in a season was 7 by Blackburn in 1995 but they played 42 games in total back then. In a 38 game season the most amount of losses was 6 by various teams so going by that trend Man City cannot afford to lose more than 4 more games from here on in if they are to get their hands on the Premier League trophy again.

Only Man United in the 92/93 season have lost 2 out of their first 3 games and won the title!

I heard about this yesterday! It's quite a quirky stat as there hasn't been a season where a team has needed to lose less than 3 matches to be able to win the title. Arsenal in 2004 and Chelsea the following year where well clear of 2nd place when they managed to win the league with one or no defeats. It must be a psychological thing really as with so many games left it's still very possible to recover from that kind of start.

Nottingham Forest have sacked Nuno Espirito Santo. It's been coming after the tensions between him and the owner, it's a shame that he couldn't even manage them for even one game in Europe after guiding them there for the first time in decades.

So Forest's strategy is just now going after ex-Spurs managers? 🤣 guess Frank will be there for the 27-28 season then!

Definitely too early to call but one thing I'm almost certain on is Arsenal WON'T be winning the league. They're still way too soft, can be easily got at and Arteta is basically the Spanish Southgate, always playing with the handbrake on and too afraid to actually go for it when they need to. Plus they barely beat us...

So it's Liverpool vs City once again.

Arsenal have such a nice run of games after the Newcastle fixture. It’ll be interesting to see how they get on as Liverpool’s next 3 are Palace & Chelsea away and Man Utd at home. 5 points at this stage is nothing but you feel if Liverpool win their next 3 and they drop points in a game they’d be expected to win it will deal a psychological blow even though it’s so early on.

I do agree about their mentality though. They took a point yesterday whereas Liverpool would have taken the risk and gone for a winner.

Just didn’t want Moysey to put the nail in the coffin this weekend.

The irony theyve had 3 managers in 18 months after sacking him and he won them their first trophy in 40 years.
