We are back at 4pm tomorrow! Quite an accumulation of bonuses to get through in the first couple of sessions, but we'll still cover 7 weeks of 1983 in each.

Dr Mabuse is fantastic Gothic synthpop/dance. The follow-up Shannon song is even better than 'Let The Music Play'. Have to go with Ultravox even if its sadder lyrically than most of their songs. Gotta go for the two hi-NRG dance tunes too for my top 5.

That's the liveliest most dancey Nik Kershaw song but the lyrical themes haven't aged as well. OMD Locomotion is catchy and more upbeat from them and they do tropical pop here. The Reflex is a bit of a mess but till a good upbeat track. The previous Break Machine hit was better and the same with New Order but still two good songs. SOS 'Just Be Good To Me' is a bit slow for me as a dance song but still a classic!

TIEBREAK:

'People are People' but that's a hard choice.

Unfortunately have not got around to listening to the songs from last week yet (I will do at some point) so I'll have to skip this poll but I'll cast a tiebreak vote for 'Ain't Nobody'. Hopefully I'll be able to join properly this time, apologies for my absence the last couple of weeks. x

Gutted to have missed both of Roland Rat's hits

Out hiking today so probably won’t make it!

Oh meant to vote for “Ain’t Nobody” in the tiebreak.

Added for posterity - a high-scoring tiebreak in the end

Ain’t Nobody should have won that tie break!

I’ve not visited this thread for a while but will try to remember to vote again ☺️
