We are back at 4pm tomorrow! Quite an accumulation of bonuses to get through in the first couple of sessions, but we'll still cover 7 weeks of 1983 in each.

Killing Joke just missing out, that was a very good discovery, as was The Art of Noise which I'm not sure I'd heard of before now.

King - Love and Pride in production sounds more 1981-2 - like the first Spandau single To Cut A Long Story Short or Classix Nouveaux - Is It A Dream. I really like it, and its a shame it was held off #1. 'You Spin Me Round' has so much energy - a much needed dance hit. The Kirsty song is so nostalgic and lovely. Run To You is a great rock anthem and I also really like the Rage dance cover from 1992. 'The Boys of Summer' is such a mood song for the summer, along with the DJ Sammy cover from 2003!

'Neutron Dance' is a strange mix of old late 50s style rock and roll vocal and new hi-NRG that doesn't really work.

Pat Benetar's next single after 'We Belong' is one of my favourites of the 80s.
