March 12Mar 12 We were discussing the possibility of Tottenham winning the Champions League and being relegated in the staffroom earlier this week. I think we can now assume that won't happen. However, if Nottm Forest win the Europa League, they will qualify for the Champions League. If they do that and are relegated, they will really struggle with the number of fixtures, particularly as Champions League weeks sometimes coincide with a Championship midweek programme.
March 12Mar 12 Was the same with Birmingham in 2012 and Wigan in 2013. Both playing Europa League games in the Championship. In fact B'ham had a bunch of pre-qualifying rounds on top and I remember them having about 6 games in hand in the league at one point.
