September 27Sep 27 All the polls at the moment seem so weird. It's so easy for Reform at the moment as we don't know all of their policies.I know a few people are against it, but I really do think Boris might be the only way to beat them.
September 27Sep 27 I always said Boris would be back but thought it’d be the 2030s lol like his hero Winston!
September 28Sep 28 Choosing between Boris and Reform would be like choosing what knife to stab yourself with.
September 28Sep 28 What annoys me is the sheer number of bad faith articles in the newspapers now that misrepresent what really happened in order to make people who are conservative (small c) and DEMONSTRABLY IN THE WRONG look like victims and/or people being persecuted. There was a story this week that uk reddit was all over about "man ARRESTED for just a little tweet".What the article failed to mention was that the man in question was a former UKIP councillor who had previously been arrested, charged and fined for targeted harrassment TO THE POINT OF MAKING UP A P.AED.O ACCUSATION against someone he disagreed with politically, and apparently since this occasion, hadn't then stopped posting inflammatory things, but had just toed the line more carefully of plausible deniability.Someone like that is CLEARLY up to no good and trying to get at people and yet the newspaper leaves ALL OF THAT out. And we get story after story like this.Just bringing it up re the union jack girl story.

No one has ever been arrested for "just a tweet". There's always more to it, whether or not you personally agree with it. Edited September 28Sep 28 by Hassaan

Any attempt to get them back into the Commons via a byelection is likely to backfire.

Monday at 22:165 days Will just leave that here for anyone tempted by Reform. There's a good reason a lot of people have to think they're not serious. Just imagine this on a national level.
Tuesday at 17:084 days Author What will the Tories do if they offer to have a pact with Reform for next election as is rumoured now but Farage insists he 'd be PM?

Thursday at 21:582 days I heard a great quote on the politics of the past 20 or so years - ‘the Ulsterisation of British Politics’ 😂We are always ahead of the curve with our conflicts 🤣
