Absolutely love it, as expected. Scratches the 00s itch of stuff like Ain't No Other Man and Crazy In Love plus Mark Ronson productions.

  • Oh actually I think it's "Harder Than You Think" by Public Enemy that I'm reminded of!

Yeah would really love for her to get a second number 1 and this song so deserves it! Hopefully it’ll stick around

This took me a couple more listens than others to truly hit but it’s definitely clicked with me now. I think someone touched upon it in another thread but it really makes a difference hearing a song with actual instruments in them.

The production in the chorus really reminds me of an advert and I can’t put my finger on what. Something to do with betting or sports.

I can’t get this out of my head, I’m annoying my boyfriend by ticking “I would like a ring, I would like a ring” every 5 seconds. It’s a very wordy and chaotic song but yet full of hooks, superb production, well written. Feels like an instant classic to me.

Yes I can see the Boots reference! 🤣

I think it’s the Sky Vegas advert which in reality doesn’t actually sound anything like this, just whatever I was recalling in my head!

It is simultaneously VERY 00s and even a bit late 10s but definitely in a way that feels nostalgic and like a homage instead of being reductive or trying too hard. It definitely evokes memories but of nothing in particular, it’s a real sweet spot that is just a great pop song.

Also shades of Confident by Demi Lovato aside from the obvious 00s reference points of Mark Ronson/Christina Aguilera/Amy Winehouse.

I've had it on repeat, it's great and deserves a good chart run.

X Factor wishes it could come back to rinse this song as a soundbed.

Presale for her your went live today! Got tickets for London! Cannot wait to see her again, she truly is a phenomenal live performer, 4 years running I’ll have seen her now!

I want it to be number 1 so badly!

It’s been in my head constantly even struggling to sleep as it’s been in repeat as I try to nod off 😂

Am I the only one who is reminded of Don't Leave Me This Way by Thelma Houston when Raye sings "babyyyy"? 🤭

Heard this on the radio today and I think I am on board with it but I can't help but feel the vocal mix is a little bit off which spoils it from being an instant big fave for me hmm (I see a number of people on Reddit commenting on this as well so I'm not just making it up). Hopefully I'll just get used to it and bop along. x

That niggle aside I definitely think it sounds like a big hit so not surprised it's doing so well off the bat! I certainly prefer it over 'Man I Need' so rooting for it to challenge that in this sudden chart battle of the British pop soul ladies x

It has so much more life and uniqueness compared to Man I Need which is pleasant to listen to but rather bland and generic. The second does tend to go num 1 more then the first though

i don't like her

She is moaning she is single but try to get closer to her

Typical gold digger, would not bother then go on moaning again there are no men in this world

Phoney person

or she does not know what she wants and complain against she does not know about

I think you’re taking the song a bit too seriously. 😋

Great performance on Graham Norton tonight - did not know it was her granny speaking at the end of the song!

I love this song and I'm glad that RAYE has been getting the recognition she deserves.

'WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!' is a song that artists like Amy Winehouse would have been proud of.

Definitely hearing some of the references made in this thread but the song it instantly reminded me of was Amerie's - 1 Thing.

It's... ok. Not mad about the rushed vocals, it's certainly no Escapsim.
