Streams of songs specific to a soundtrack album are attributed to that album's unit totals but streams of songs on regular compilations don't (ie they will go to the artist's parent album and/or nominated greatest hits album in the Individual Artists chart) so it gives soundtrack albums an added lift on the Compilation Charts that other Compilation/Various Artists albums don't benefit from. I suppose it makes sense but I hadn't thought about it before....
