I'm literally right here so cut the attitude (and I'm a site admin so I can call out rudeness when I see it, it's part of the job - if you don't like it, you don't have to be here) It's not a sweepin

I think that’s a sort of positive? “The Subway” dropped less than “The Giver” despite starting from a higher point.

Anyway Day 1 was bound to be a bit of an outlier: it’s all about how it holds from now.

Exactly the only things they got in common are they are female and on the same label 🤣

Aren't they the only 3 to displace Alex's reign at the top

Ah that makes sense considering who making the comparison 😅

Seems a very similar trend for similar big artists (I consider them Stan twitter artists) with big fanbases. Big first day with a similar fall each time. It’s not anything positive or negative it just is what it is. That seems to be the trend now. And I think this Chappell song will have a similar chart life to manchild

Great 2nd day for Chappell!

Also great to see Lola climbing in her 2nd day! That's a really positive sign - hopefully "d£aler" will climb throughout the week and secure itself a top 40 debut at a minimum in the official charts!

Oh God I don't know what planet I'm living on then currently lol But glad to see it went top 40 already! Hope it can stabilise/climb in the coming weeks.

Yeah fingers crossed can ckimb over the coming weeks

The Subway 818 - 450 = 45% drop

Manchild 791 - 408 = 48% drop

The Giver 722 - 343 = 53% drop

all 3 had similar drops, what matters is that the competition was much stronger for Manchild/The Giver, as Ordinary was on ACR

This happens EVERY tme there’s a big new telease. You have all been here long enough to notice patterns in new releases and how they debut high then fall around a similar percent the following day/continue “decreasing” on Sundays too (Monday’s update).

In rare circumstances will you find a ‘driver’s license’ or ‘APT’ where they actually increase their streams the entire/most of the week. Even then they don’t debut at number 1/top 5…

Every time there’s a big release you all have the same conversations over and over and over again. It’s boring and whenever anyone points it out that it’s a decent hold/expected drop, there’ll be someone trying to downplay it in one way or another.

None of you can let even the first weekends go by without making these silly comparisons. It just feels like you’re all racing against each other so you can be the first to say “told you so!!!!”

It’s just wash, rinse and repeat at this point. It’s boring.

The competition isn’t that weak this week - “Golden” did 42k chart sales last week and will likely be increasing into the high 40s. So the 42k opening for “The Giver” probably wouldn’t be enough. However the 2nd Spotify day for “The Subway” is nearly 30% higher than that for “The Giver”. To me that isn’t similar.

An second day drop in streams it's been happening for years jeez. Let Chappell ease to victory on Friday.

I do think one the big things that people are missing is she has an actual video this time

Also the song has been much better received - so has probably helped to hold onto streams.

I think the givers problem is it was so different from her so probably came off as negative reaction
