  • Amazon isn’t deciding the charts: it’s a combination of all platforms. And it’s not a “River” situation - “Golden” might be #1 on Spotify anyway with all versions combined and allowing for premium rat

Liking how fresh the bottom of the top 40 is looking, would love to see Marino get in there too by Friday! (it was #57 in last Monday's mids and ended the week at #46, so I'm hoping #52 today is a positive sign!)

Oh wow at the sales tie! Oasis definitely number one album this week then. Hope the new entries lower down in the top 40 can hold up!

More Albums

49 NEW Kenny Thomas - Unstoppable

53 RE OMD - Bauhaus Staircase

The ACR clear out is very welcome but seems to have its downside - bad dreams and lose control threatening to re enter the top 40 😖

I wasn’t expecting Golden to be well ahead of Chappell. I was hoping she’d hold onto number 1

They usually drop through the week so should stay out.

Only one song remains in the Top 40 that's stayed on SCR for the last 3 months, and it's the one that's stayed on SCR for over 6 months now. I'm sure I don't need to state which song!

There's an Amazon Original cover in the charts, and it's not Christmas! Good Neighbours' cover of 'There She Goes' is at #79.

Are there any other non-Christmas Amazon Originals that have made the top 100? Can only think of Kim Petras' "Running Up That Hill"

Oasis will easily return to number 1 this week and probably take it by a few thousand.

Kenny Thomas at 49 today is a surprise i actually thought he would at the very best be low top 100 today.

That's crazy for the Jonas Brothers. Even without hit singles, we know that a fanbase can carry an album to perform well for one week at least. Them not appearing in the Monday midweeks is wild! Any chance of missing data, or have they just flopped that badly, eek.

Previous two albums:

'The Album' (Monday midweek: #4 - 3,718 / Wednesday midweek: #3 - 6,279 / Friday: #3 - 8,310) [May 2023]

'Happiness Begins' (Monday midweek: #2 - 9,459 / Wednesday midweek: #2 - 10.9k / Friday: #2 - 14,120) [June 2019]

Oh wow, hope Champagne Supernova holds on. Three Oasis classics finally getting onto the listings in a matter of weeks if it can, amazing.

Likewise it looks like they could get the No.1 album again but you never know what promotional tricks either of the top two will pull.

Golden is really going to pull away I guess now that it's the school holidays and there will be more and more viewings of KPop Demon Hunters, and another week with the No.1 single changing hands!

Without the huge 1st day sales, The subway didnt have a chance this week against Goldens streams on Amazon :/

Really hate it when Amazon decides the charts, think I never got Over the Ellie-River thing 😆 and nowadays its the same with Golden, Alex Warrens album or Eds singles 😬

You really are trolling now!

It's 'Cigarettes & Alcohol' that's appeared today, not 'Champagne Supernova' (which appears to be back on ACR somewhere below 'Wonderwall' and missed its chance of going Top 40 this year at least).

Oh yeah, I misread that whoops. Shame that never got its chance.

Chappell had no chance this week but

bjork isnt wrong overall.

Last week the subway had

3,539,543 Spotify streams

Golden had 2,476,239

Over a million more

The Subway had 516,852 YouTube streams

Golden had 0 as theirs don’t count on UK charts

Despite that the gap was only 5.5k in sales

If you look at a similar Spotify gap say June 6 Ordinary had 1.1 mill more Spotify streams than love me not yet had 25k more sales gap

Clearly the K-pop stuff is wildly outperforming on Amazon and there is no real reason for it. There is nothing stopping people in Korea resetting their Alexa to a different country putting the album on repeat in a room they’re not even in and going on with their day
