I did wonder if something good was being saved until the end but footballers usually have a bad track record on this show. Amazing moment!

What a first week that was, the quality was insane. I do my own ranking for Strictly on a weekly basis and I'm struggling to order the top 10!

Karen was the biggest revelation for sure, that was brilliant. Amber pulling that out at such short notice was incredible too. George, Ellie and Lewis were my other top faves of the night

Why does it feel like Balvinder and/or Harry will be in the bottom 2?

I'll be shocked if the bottom two ends up being anything other than Chris and Ross. We know Thomas probably isn't going anywhere for a couple weeks at least

I sadly think I it could be Balvinder, she kind of screams mini shock first elim but hopefully not, the Samba was such a shit draw for week 1! However the other ones who struggled aren’t big names who would have a fanbase so hopefully she makes it through and starts to do better.

I hope Balvinder isn’t first out! I think she could potentially have a much better second week (like Sara Davies on a smaller scale perhaps) but I do unfortunately feel she could be the first female boot. Really hoping it’s just a case of a dodgy week one dance but she was underscored to me..

I can’t see past Chris leaving first though (Nadiyas not had the best of records either being first boot last year too).

Unfortunately really feel like Vickys gonna win but I’m hoping it doesn’t happen but I just sense it happening in a Stacey Dooley esque way. I can’t fully call the other finalist yet but I’m gonna say Vicky, Amber and Lewis are gonna get there and then I’m torn between Karen and George on the other spot… (I mean purely based off one dance 😆).

I didn't watch the last 10 minutes - I had read who went and didn't want to watch it again 🤣

I was genuinely shocked at the Skinner actually leaving first but relieved! The public voting right. Wonder if the lack of phone votes actually made a difference there or was he just not as popular as we feared?

Also loved to see Balvinder breaking through and serving with that Charleston!

Elated to see Thomas gone first, a brilliant outcome! Hooray for the public keeping Ross safe this week because I think it might’ve gone differently had it been Ross v Thomas
