Went to my second Swiftageddon a few weeks ago and hearing Actually Romantic after a few beers hits SO well, what an absolute banger.

This album has grown to be better than TTPD in my eyes, I knew it would get there after being a bit of a letdown initially. I still wouldn’t class it as one of her best, but it just needed to be given a chance. The songs have their own identities after being given some time and listening in different headspaces.

I would love to go to one of these but sadly they start to late for me

I'm still waiting for her to announce a second disc The Death of a Showgirl produced by Jack and Aaron as I cannot believe we are only getting 12 tracks. lol

In all seriousness, I think Life of a Showgirl is a really solid pop record. I know there was a big online discourse about it not being that great, but I really think a lot of people didn't really give it much of a chance as it's her strongest and most concise record in a long time (I'm a Lover stan but even I can acknowledge that record is bloated).

Death of a show girl sounds like somethink Taylor's family could bring out after she has died, a greatest hits with live tracks and unrealised songs.

I saw the theory online today that The Life of Showgirl (song) is inspired by Britney who Taylor met when she was a teenager. Not particularly because Britney said anything bad to her but seeing everything Britney went through taught Taylor the lessons to make sure it didn't happen to her. Britney was perfect in contrast to her fans' lives but not everything was as it seemed. Sabrina represents who Taylor was, the fangirl of the older artist coming into the business and how Taylor wants to pass on that wisdom. Its not about the industry leaving girls for dead as the younger model comes along anymore. Taylor has become the showgirl and has made the life of the Showgirl what she wants it to be and wants to ensure other girls do so as well so there won't be another Britney. And in the end Taylor gets her flowers from her idol.

If that is true, that is pretty damn genius,

The big differance between Taylor and Britney is how their family treat them, Britney never had the support Taylor gets from her family.

Honestly watching the docuseries episode entitled Marjorie and seeing how much of a supportive closenet family they are literally each one is a huge part of why the eras tour was so successful

Oh Britney gets the support from fans you can't even say anything constructively critical about Britney anywhere without the pitchforks 🤣🤣🤣

Daily streams for the album on Spotify yesterday:

5,284,579 - The Fate of Ophelia (track 1)

2,064,438 - Opalite (track 3)

631,194 - Elizabeth Taylor (track 2)

611,713 - Wi$h Li$t (track 8)

611,535 - Father Figure (track 4)

558,473 - The Life of a Showgirl (track 12)

440,330 - CANCELLED! (track 10)

430,359 - Ruin the Friendship (track 6)

419,058 - Actually Romantic (track 7)

414,054 - Wood (track 9)

350,539 - Honey (track 11)

346,900 - Eldest Daughter (track 5)

I didn't realise that Wi$h Li$t is one of the better performing tracks.

Could Eldest Daughter be the worst received Track 5 of all her albums?

I think ‘Ruin The Friendship’ should have been the track 5, personally! It’s so devastating and if it was the all hyped track 5, I think it’d have done so well!

It's definitely bottom 2 track 5 for me , All you had to Do was stay the only one id consider worse

Also agree with @Tafty RTF should of been track 5

Interesting that TLOAS isn't the clear 4th track worldwide and only the 6th most popular
