I'd have thought something like a Greatest Hits would be the main beneficiary of the documentary, rather than the Live album? That's kind of a niche product that's only going to be for the hardcore fans.

8 on UK Itunes :) 10 sales at least :)

  • Album is titled 'Tension Tour // Live 2025' everywhere except Australia/New Zealand where its just 'Tension Tour', so it shows up separately on Kworb. Here are all the positions together: Apple Music

I would think the same as the live albums are very niche and have no appeal outside the hardcore fans and not an album a casual would go far even if they think the documentary is the best thing ever it would be a greatest hits they would look up.

A live cd is really just a cash grab more than anything but a decent position is always nice. Showgirl got to #7 so it shows she can get top 10 / 20 albums with it if she does it right.

  • 3 weeks later...

Looking at the new release schedule this is only listed for a download/streaming release later this month and then followed by a vinyl.

No word of a cd which im really disappointed about,

Not sure if this was already available but you can pre-order the vinyl and CD, released 13th February 2026:

Strange that the physicals arent out until February, interesting to see if this will even show in the early midweeks without physicals.

Wonder if a Blu-ray will be announced? Perhaps not as it would usually be bundled with the CD.

Perhaps they’re still editing it and when ready it’ll be broadcast/ streaming only.

Guessing her Netflix documentary and maybe Tension Tour will be premiered on Netflix at the same date.

There is no doubt a reason why that date has been chosen.

Should get a decent chart position mid Feb

Brilliant album, so pleased we have it.

A messy release though with the physicals not coming for 5 months!

Interested to see if it can sneak in the Top 100 this week however Kylie fans are not generally known for their streaming power 🤣

I think (hope) there is more to come - the media book is a website exclusive so at the very least there will be a standard CD release still to come I would’ve thought (although ‘Golden Live’ only got a media book release).

I hope these physicals are not particularly limited because I can't order it yet! drama

I'd be surprised if it makes the midweeks, it is #3 on iTunes though, so whether it generates enough to make at least a low Top 100 appearance, we'll see...!

The only thing I think will be ‘limited’ is the CD media book - it sold out for Golden Live and was never restocked.

i'm sure week of the physicals it will be £3.99 or £4.99 to download to grab extra sales or with an extra sale.

They are just getting some streaming numbers for her various platforms

i guess we are getting nothing new until February then. Well maybe a few standalone singles/collabs.

She is having a rest.

Can anyone find what sales where like in February this year? I would think a top 10 is achievable?

In bold is the corresponding week for the release of 'Tension Live':

06/02 | 5,974 | Fleetwood Mac - 50 Years: Don't Stop

13/02 | 6,299 | RØRY - RESTORATION

20/02 | 7,477 | The Weeknd - The Highlights

27/02 | 7,941 | Ed Sheeran - +-=÷× (Tour Collection)

06/03 | 6,017 | Kendrick Lamar - GNX

13/03 | 6,916 | Charli xcx - BRAT

20/03 | 6,365 | The Weeknd - The Highlights

27/03 | 6,267 | The Weeknd - The Highlights

I was thinking Top 10 would probably be out of the question but then I forgot 'Golden Live' had sold 7,234 in its first week!

Not sure what the end of week breakdown was, but 'Golden Live' sold 5,820 CDs as of the Monday update (with another 117 on downloads and 10 from streams). Let's say ~7k from CD by the end of the week. Wonder if 'Tension Live' can manage as many? CD sales have decreased since 2019 and 'Golden Live' was released in the Christmas market. 'Tension Live' has the advantage of three extra months of pre-order though.

'Infinite Disco' sold 2.2k on vinyl. I think 'Tension Live' could manage a similar amount.
