First things first, thank you to everyone who gave me points for Heidi! It's been a good day for me with contests as I came second here and first in my debut in PJSC! It was so hard not to act like as huge of a fan of my own entry as I am. Thank the lord I did well, all my critiques during the listen through were not in vain 🤣

Porter was also in my votes and was my second favourite for the win if Japanese Breakfast couldn't, I have been a bit underwhelmed with recent songs I've heard from him, but this one was great and fit the theme well. Congrats to Herbs on some well deserved song contest success there too! The other two in the top 5 weren't for me, but you can say that about a lot of Buzzjack-hyped songs x

It dived down the scoreboard by the end but I do really enjoy it myself. I love the (admittedly throwback) production, chorus and key change and I do like sending out and out POP sometimes.

Quite a fall from 1st last time but over 50 points is still respectable despite the position - it was quite a bunched up board.

I flip-flopped on this a bit but ultimately I came down on, its an unusually-structured song in that the 'big chorus' is really the instrumental bit after the verse, because there isn't really any other chorus that repeats - the bit you might think is the vocal chorus actually changes a little each time.

I've intended to send it to something for ages (I feel like I have actually sent it to BJSC as a placeholder more than once) so probably it wasn't too hard to predict it was me!

Congrats @AllStarBySmashMouth , 'Cheerleader' was a brilliant entry! Also thrilled to see my 10 and 12-pointers do well, 'Body Language' is a song I've loved since back when it was new, while 'Yum' was my favorite discovery by far this time around

Commiserations again to The Midnight, just shy of points from me, and pleasantly surprised to see it was sent by Mango - as soon as I saw Dylan - Bad on the song list I was convinced that'd be yours instead!

I discovered 'We're Dancing' about a year ago, loved it instantly and saved it for an eventual PFSC where it'd fit the theme. Cannot believe I misfired this badly with my entry Ah well, still love it and not gonna regret sending it. I do appreciate the three points at least!

Only just finished catching up with these as I was bopping to Belinda Carlisle and Bryan Adams at Radio 2's Party in the Park last night! Slightly disappointed with a bottom half finish but hey ho! At least with The Midnight no one can accuse me of not sending a song with a huge chorus! Thank you to @Scene and @WhoOdyssey for 12 points anyhow and congrats to @AllStarBySmashMouth for the win, even if the song was not to my taste. I was convinced Margaret would get a landslide victory here!

Congratulations to @AllStarBySmashMouth for the W! I'm unfortunately still not liking this Porter era, but Cheerleader is still a decent one.

I did do research on Minami before. Such a shame Séyetana failed to qualify with the other "Rain" song. They should've just sent this song instead! But my initial thought is that they didn't want to send two anisongs from the same season (yes, both their UVERworld entry and this were released in Winter 2019!). I'm disappointed, though, that my disguise never really succeeded in the first place. I don't actually hate step-sibling romance anime, anyway, and Domestic Girlfriend was somehow a guilty pleasure to me x.

Apologies for the super late acknowledgement but I'm still catching up on many threads from while I was away 😅

Anyway, surprise, I was indeed behind Kep1er! I found the song while potential hunting for BJSC a couple of months ago and thought it could be a fun swerve at some point, since my taste is not particularly associated with K-Pop. I was mostly drawn in by the Jersey Club influences in the production but the chorus quickly became an earworm too - so this contest felt like a good fit for it.

I'm pleased that it connected with others enough to do as well as 7th! Thank you for all the points, especially the 12s from Cody and Jordan 🥰 just consulted the PFSC archive and didn't realise that was my sixth consecutive top 10 in this contest?! Well, yay for experiencing a hot streak at the moment then.

I haven’t entered a pop forum contest before although I have guest voted. I was considering entering Marina Kaye’s “Homeless” into the reality TV themed Bop Idol I hosted but went with something more obscure instead.

Afterwards I really wanted to know how it would have done, and seeing that it fitted the theme for this made a spur of the moment decision to enter it here. And I think I’ve answered that it indeed would very likely have extended my Top 10 streak there haha! Oh well - I now have a streak of 1 here instead. Thanks for the votes! x
