Think About Things, despite your description Julian, was definitely a 'Eurovision song' in that it was a country's entry for Eurovision regardles of the fact it was never performed there!

How can a Eurovision song have been never performed at Eurovision? It never appeared in the final, a semifinal, a dress rehearsal or an afternoon preview. Wikipedia says “Iceland has been represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 37 times since its debut” and 2020 isn’t one of them.

And surely if it’s open to interpretation, as the phrase “Eurovision song” without any clarification is, you’d give the benefit of the doubt in Pointless.

So if I hadn't stupidly given two incorrect answers (and assuming I'd have given pointless answers to both of those questions), I'd have finished on a mere 7 points, and won this by a country mile?! FFS 🤦‍♂️

Congrats to gasman & Jordan though clap

Wow!! I don't win quizzes very often and was just happy to avoid any wrong answers. Congrats Gasman on winning with me D

Thanks Pete for hosting! This actually ended up being quite competitive with how many low-scoring answers there were! Yay for only 27 entrants so everyone starting out with leaderboard points clap

Oh MY at matching someone with Cody Wise of all people on Q7 🤣

Happily take 5th out of this bloodbath though, so I just needed to spend more time thinking of someone more obscure for Q8 and that might have sealed the win but nevermind.

Thanks Pete for hosting!

I think whenever someone goes with loophole answers, they have to recognise that they're chancing a bit on whether the host is willing to accept the answer or not (I know in the past I've had decisions not go my way, and as a result I steer clear of them when i take part myself). 'Eurovision Song' is naturally something without a clear definition (you could argue that Mountain is incorrect for example), but if asked for clarification I would have gone down the route of it being a country's selected entry for the contest, which is what the majority of people inferred from the question.

We'll probably just have to agree to disagree on this one - I'm sure there are decisions that won't go my way this season as well!
