Born in 2003 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, she worked her way up to the finals on So You Think You Can Dance at age 13, following other impressive milestones as a live performer. McRae answered her overnight TV success by uploading a series of singles that showcased the preternatural depth of her singing and songwriting. Signed to a major label when she was 16, she struck gold globally with 2020’s “you broke me first,” adding ominous trap beats to an intimate lament. But rather than be pigeonholed by weepy ballads, McRae quickly showcased her full range with convincing forays into dreamy alt-rock and purring R&B on 2022’s i used to think i could fly. Coming off even more emboldened on 2023’s THINK LATER, she greets her entry into her twenties with a well-earned sense of confidence on tracks like the chirping kiss-off “exes.” Echoing her penchant for inhabiting a deep bench of musical styles without breaking her stride, she seems just as much at home in the role of a nonchalant heartbreaker as in the role of the one at home nursing a broken heart. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History2020 03 you broke me first -1- MILLIONAIRE2021 46 You (Regard, Troye Sivan & Tate McRae)2021 82 that way -1-2021 52 feel like shit -1-2022 14 she's all i wanna be -2-2022 36 chaotic -PS-2022 84 what would you do? -3-2022 76 uh oh -NAS-2022 08 10:35 (Tiësto & Tate McRae)2023 03 greedy -1- MILLIONAIRE2023 12 exes -2-2023 55 run for the hills -AT-2024 14 It's ok I'm ok -1-2024 08 2 hands -2-2025 03 Sports car -3-2025 09 Revolving door -4-2025 25 I know love (feat. Yesterday at 16:481 day Oh wow well done Bon Jovi on overtaking Taylor! Was gonna try and get tickets to see them with the family but we missed the pre-sale...
Yesterday at 16:481 day Lily holding at 4 is phenomenal, did not expect BJ to retain number 2 though did he have a late sales push
Yesterday at 16:491 day Lily wow! Who would’ve thought she’d manage top 5 with only streaming! Hoping the physicals are in a quiet week so it can sneak #1, could see her holding up quite well seeing how well the album has been doing all week with everything increasing all week!
Yesterday at 16:491 day I don't think the sound quality is to be good this week. It's unfortunately not going to be good due to the tape heads, so I'm going to have to record at a hot level..
Yesterday at 16:491 day Well done, Dave another really strong addition to his discography. My favourite songs on the album are actually the last two tracks, both very hard-hitting lyrically, but of course had no chance of charting. Intrigued to find out his sales as he was gaining well throughout the week.Very impressive result for Lily as well especially without physicals.

Yesterday at 16:501 day Happy for Dave too, one of the best rappers out there, his lyrics are brilliant! Glad raindance is holding as his top song as it’s my fave from his album

Sure, by the time she was 20, Allen had already landed a deal with major UK imprint Regal Recordings (Coldplay, Gorillaz), but wanting to take the speed of her ascent into her own hands, she turned to the only outlet available to enterprising artists at the time: MySpace. After Allen posted demos to the nascent site and became one of pop’s first social-media sensations, Regal put the full weight of their promotional machine behind her. The arrival of Allen’s 2006 debut, Alright, Still, couldn’t have been better timed. Her reggae-infused rhythms and rap-schooled swagger provided a sun-kissed antidote to the aloof garage-rock lads filling up the pages of the NME, while her acid tongue—whether nonchalantly describing an old lady getting mugged on “LDN” or revelling in an ex’s misfortune on “Smile”—introduced a new level of candour and rancour to British pop. As Allen explains to Apple Music, “Because I don’t play instruments live, I’ve always felt like the singing and writing is my part of the band. And if that’s your bit, then why would you not do it properly?” Allen’s combination of eloquence and attitude has made her a natural foil for hip-hop artists, as she’s supplied the deceptively sweet hooks to T-Pain’s 2011 hit “5 O’Clock” and Stormzy’s 2017 single “Cigarettes & Cush”. And while struggles with fame, addiction and relationships have limited her output to roughly two albums per decade, each one has been a Top 10 event, with 2018’s post-divorce/post-sobriety salvo No Shame reaffirming Allen’s reputation as one of UK pop’s savviest synthesists and fearlessly blunt lyricists. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History2006 01 Smile -1- MILLIONAIRE2006 06 LDN -2-2006 21 Littlest Things -3-2007 15 Shame For You / Alfie -4-2007 08 Oh My God (Mark Ronson feat.
