But then you're talking about the guy who sent Ado twice - leveraging popular Japanese artists who most of the contest don't check for and are missing out on is a very common strategy of mine. Actually WagakkiBand haven't really hit for me before but this solo effort from Yuko is really musically interesting.

very interested to hear Greenfroze's certainly, number of other artists who look good for discoveries and this looks like a good semi for my niches.

FSR Rontvia has done what has been my plan to do next contest, send a song in Estonian. I've always wanted to do it but never found a song that felt right. I have also already heard 'Luukered' and it's a bit of a tune.

I did think of you when I submitted this, and wondered if you had heard of the band. It’s my first ever entry from an Estonian act, I’ve been ticking off a few more languages and countries I haven’t used before this year for nothing more than my own entertainment but this one really caught my ear.

Actually Sabrewulf (used to take part here as Dalisska) showed it to me. 🤭 I have at least sent a song by an Estonian artist before (NOËP) but the song was in English.

Interestingly there don't seem to be any songs longer than 5 mins in semi 1 and my song is the second longest at only 4.33 lol

Will echo that I’ve heard more this contest than the usual, but mostly good stuff so think it’ll be a strong contest for my taste!

Interested to see how Steep Hills does, that was my back up if Fleeting got stolen but then I heard Sugar High on the morning of confirmations and it was so instant that I had to jump on it once my first option clearly wasn’t going to work out. I’m sure Steep Hills will do very well though.

Is It Love was also on my potentials list in the summer, a good return for Hushkanukia.

I’ve done a skim of a fair few entries and will make sure to return this contest with some more undoubtedly incorrect predictions x

Yep we only have three songs over 5 minutes this month and they're all in semi 2!

Not familiar with much this month so I’m excited to make discoveries. Mothertopia’s entry is AMAZING pop music, and so is the Maggie Lindemann song. I think the flowerovlove one is a bit disappointing by her standards but I’ll have to give it a second listen.

FAANGS did an Alan Walker collab and her other song “UGGs In The Club” is a bit more electropop so I guess that’s the direction she’s going?
