Yes, they need to get the remixes ready and have that big impact week around the physicals release to try and maximize impact as much as possible.

I hope they throw everything they can at this release and not mess it up.

I wouldn't hold your breath for remixes. Amazon just push one version of the song, which they refer to as being an Amazon Music Original. I don't think they'd consider diluting the impact of it by having more than one version of the track. I would be very surprised if it happened.

I don't think Kylie's label/team can really "mess it up" per se. It's essentially now in the hands of Amazon Music and how hard they push XMAS, which'll determine how well it does in the chart. The song already has great positions on playlists, and undoubtedly anyone who requests Christmas music on Alexa will get XMAS played regularly, as we've seen from the last few years of Amazon originals from Tom Grennan, Sam Ryder, Jess Glynne. Physical purchases will give a boost to the sales, but the predominant success will come from streaming.

The lifespan of thia song will be from 1st to 26th of December, and correct me if I'm wrong, but it will be the song Amazon is playing the most when you want to listen to Christmas music on their platform.

The Tom Grennan track doesn't have a Wikipedia page even after it reached #3 last year so the pop culture impact will be very restricted, although the execution is effective from chart perspective.

Very decent, I think it’s git potential.

Only just realised I can listen via my Amazon prime membership….its not Amazon Unlimited but no adverts and I can pick what I listen to.

Quite frankly I don’t know why unlimited is worth it.

She said in the interview it's been 10 years in the making, I assume it was either unfinished or just an idea that hadn't come to fruition?

XMAS was written by Duck Blackwell, Kylie Minogue, Luke Fitton & Richard Stannard

Love that Kylie will be here release week - at a minimum aside from the Capital show I’d expect SCD and The One Show, also Capital radio interview and heavy playlist support for XMAS.

How do the Amazon only songs compete with Spotify/Apple numbers etc.

Im surprised the song is over 3 minutes as usually her songs as of late ae under the 3 minutes but thats not a bad thing at all.

Have to say the excitement of this surprise release and the fact I think XMAS is a great Christmas feel good/singalong song has got me in the festive mood.

Streaming on repeat - hopefully Amazon are not too picky about capping their sales reporting to 10 streams per account a day for their exclusives 🤣

The end goes on and on in a very good way. Layered background vocals help it build and yes it’s nothing groundbreaking but a very well crafted Christmas song.

Using Amazon music for the first time I can now understand why certain tracks by Kylie are achieving certs….the discover Kylie playlist is very prominent. Hopefully LCA is picking up the numbers by being track 5. Shame there’s no listener stats.
