Just taken out an Amazon Music trial and streaming on repeat

I’ve still only heard this the one time this morning, yet the chorus is stuck in my head. For me she’s really “understood the assignment” with this! I’m excited for the upcoming success that I’m imagining it’ll have, but I’m also trying not to get ahead of myself lol.

I would agree with @Jessie Where that from a personal taste point of view I think there are some better songs on Kylie Christmas, although when it comes to commercial viability I think there’s something about XMAS that has something more to it. I know with the way Alexa operates at Christmas time that anything Kylie released for it would have got streams, but I also think people will actually like this and it not just be a passively achieved hit that the public don’t seem to care about. My impression last year was that Tom Grennan got as high as #3 with people not really talking about the song, but I think Kylie could have some buzz / attention? I’d certainly be surprised if it did less than Tom’s offering.

All of this - I’m trying not to get carried away BUT it feels the stars are aligned for a very successful single and album.

The fact I’m anticipating a new Kylie Top 10 single in 2025 is something pre-Padam Padam I didn’t think we’d ever experience again.

My only thing with this is the last minute or so of X-M-A-S over and over feels like it goes on forever.

Amazon/Parlophone won’t have them too limited - a huge Christmas hit (dare I even dream/say a potential #1) is exactly what they will be after - Tom Grenan, Jess Glynne and Sam Ryder had physicals that were plentiful (appreciate their fanbases may not be as feverish for physicals) - Sam’s only sold out right near the end when he was really pushing them in a bid for the #1 spot.

Yep - just had to take out a free trial so I could play it.

Usually get uploaded to YT but they get removed pretty sharpish.

I was expecting great things after reading this thread but on first listen it’s nothing special. Hoping it’ll grow, songs are rarely instant for me. Either way I hope it gives her another hit regardless.

Oh well, won't be listening to it then, Amazon is blacklisted for me sadly. Wish her luck with it though.

It sounds decent enough as apart from the classic Christmas songs I generally don't like most Christmas song releases but the chorus is catchy on it which hopefully the general public take to.

Odds are already dropping - got 22/1 earlier

Hopefully she gets some decent radio support which might help her along the way but like others have said im just hoping she can get another top 10 hit out of it or something higher.
