XMAS is included high up on loads of Amazon playlists already but it’ll need the Alexa spam to kick in to start joining the perennials.

One thing to remember is it’s on SCR which should help it chart once the numbers significantly ramp up.

Where’s Gwen and the other Amazon exclusives past and present on the Amazon chart? I can’t seem to see it on my app but I’m using prime access not unlimited.

Yep but also Kylie is solely on Amazon so really needs to it to take off.

I just like seeing Kylie in the charts anywhere and releasing new music and still competing with the youngsters.

I’m seeing it as 189. Do you have explicit songs filtered out? It seems to be a common issue with the Amazon charts.

Amazon accounts for about 25% of the UK music streaming market, second to Spotify that has just under 50%. Didn’t realise Amazon was so strong.

Amazon Originals stay to just Amazon in the first year then will move to other platforms as well next year. The download they seem to be holding back until release week but yes there's always a download available via Amazon.

Amazon Christmas originals always chart so well because Amazon's streaming market jumps over Christmas, everyone does the whole 'Alexa play Christmas music' then Alexa spams whichever Christmas Original they are pushing (Kylie will also be on standard ratio meaning her streams will count 100% towards the chart whereas all the Christmas classics are on ACR (50% count towards the chart)

It's basically chart manipulation by Amazon to an extent because it plays all the time.

They generally get added to the other platforms a year later.

It'll chart high in the same way Tom Grennan did last year and Sam Ryder the year before.

Tom Grennan climbed to top 40 on w/e 12 Dec last year so probably around then.

XMAS is surely going to get BBC Radio 2 and Capital FM playlistings very soon

Kylie has the benefit from not just a single but a new repackaged album too which will in turn help the single too

Conservatively i am going for 5k physicals and 1k of downloads to start the chart week 12th December.

She also has TV promo - Strictly, Capital FM Jinglebell Ball + probably some more interviews on radio, bbc, itv etc

Any publicity for Kylie = extra sales

The problem is when the general public hear the sing they won’t find it on Spotify, Apple. i tunes etc. So isn't the promo really only going to help the album?

If people really love the song they will buy either a physical or download on Amazon as I'm sure Kylie will be doing links on her stories and socials.

To be honest Kylie isn't a huge streaming artist anyway so the best push is for the download and physicals during the Christmas chart week as hopefully Amazon will be doing it's thing and getting her great streams.

The whole point Amazon give a 3 month free trial to people and they can play Kylie

Kylie fans will download from Amazon no problem. its very easy and do so every time she releases

Plus more poeple will ask Alexa to play. They may watch a Youtube video too etc

I think team Kylie’s aim (as always) is the album - they will let Amazon do their thing for the single, great move from the Kylie camp to basically guarantee a hit via Amazon to launch the anniversary album.
