If Kylie could replicate Cher's dj play that Christmas song success in year 2 and 3 of release I'd be happy with that.

Spotify’s main Christmas playlist has now updated - no sign of XMAS unfortunately.

To be expected from them 😭

Hopefully XMAS can make its way onto a few playlists and improve its position on them as we move into December.

Though as it was an Amazon exclusive it will face an uphill battle on Spotify especially.

Given it is an Amazon exclusive, I won't expect anything big or anything at all from the Spotify team to support it. Especially because of that, I'm very surprised how relatively well it has done already since its release on the platform outside the season.

It's getting around 2k streams on daily basis. The aforementioned Cher track is at 15k so it has looooong way to go.

Chers song was a part of a global campaign rather than being UK centric and has a few years on XMAS to build up its audience.

I think Kylie will be lower all season but higher in the UK (and possible Ireland and Australia), although it might not even achieve that as Spotify unsurprisingly have snubbed it so far from their main Christmas playlists.

Plus id say anything can happen, its only October, Xmas could easily shoot ahead closer to christmas

Mariah is ahead of wham, but they take over her earlier and earlier every year mid October is too early to predict how well a christmas song will do

Well fingers crossed it can chart and make its top 100 debut here in Ireland this year.

Has Spotify ever supported the Amazon exclusives in the year after? From memory, most have made the Top 100 again but not Top 40 - I think Kylie could return Top 40 which would be a big achievement. It’ll have the benefit of being a Christmas number one as well so I guess Spotify will have to support it on that playlist.

If it can re-enter the top 40 I'll be very happy, I think it's achievable if Sam Ryder's one can get to #56 in its second year and this seems a fair bit bigger than that.

I’m fairly confident it’ll make the top 40. It’ll be on SCR, Amazon will keep it high on their playlist, plus Kylie has a much bigger streaming profile than Sam and she’ll push it via Spotify/ as part of fully wrapped. Those factors combined should be enough.

Plus YouTube streams will massively help if they run the ad campaign again to generate views.

Ya I don't think any of them returned to the top 40

Katy Perry's Cozy Little Christmas did - but that was from the first year of Amazon Originals I think. It wasn't that big in its first year.

Amazon will ramp up the auto play in between their new Christmas songs for the year, and I think it’ll get a decent level of Apple support.

Added to the fact there will still be some physical sales as they are all still available along with any promo/social media push Kylie’s team do for it.

I’m expecting Top 40 and a few weeks in the charts.

Xmas needs to take over the role Santa Baby has had in the Christmas chart the last 15 years.
