I can see Mariah overtaking too. But a top 3 would be great. Then again you never know whsat could happen!!!

Gwen at 10 could mean to Amazon exclusives in the top 10 on Xmas week

Awww Kylie’s latest story is so cute! I’m honestly so buzzing that it’s looking likely! 22 years since her last number 1, one of very few women to ever get a Christmas number 1 (12 years it’s been s

Ahhh surprising it’s dropped back FL but then again maybe not considering how the Amazon chart seems to have gone against XMAS since yesterday.

Hopefully it still has a good sales total.

My mistake earlier I suggested Gwens song had dropped back but I missed it at 27 on the Amazon chart.

Just hope that even if XMAS ends up at 2 or 3 that it’s joined in the Top 100 by some other KC tracks.

Really hope the album gets a little boost this week too.

It's harsh by Amazon. They've been playing XMAS alot less up until Christmas number 1 week compared to other releases now it seems they've scaled it back again (Again Tom / Sam were still on high rotation) unless the label wanted that if they want to play the long game and not overdo it?

On the Amazon web chart she is still number 3. Where are we noticing/seeing reduced plays?

This - I don’t think it’s been significantly scaled back?

Kylie has the Number 1 achieved.

This week won't be as big a focus for the team.

Maybe so but there is no harm in Amazon pushing it as hard as they can again this week and hopefully match or beat last weeks sales.

As someone who doesn't use this service, did they also do the same with previous exclusives the week after?

I'd have thought with Kylie getting the number one and it receiving so much more publicity than any of the others, they'd want to keep that going.

I thought the same.

What they should do in that case for this week is make it available on itunes, Spotify etc to get extra sales as they would earn from it aswell.

There’s an exclusivity contract in place, they simply can’t put it on rival platforms now even if they wanted to. It wouldn’t be a beneficial move to make this season anyway.

Usually a Spotify user and only using Amazon atm for the trial to support Kylie but looking at chart histories Amazon have supported all their multiple exclusives each year right up until the end - I don’t think they will significantly scale back because it’s reached #1 - if anything, I’d expect them to do the opposite.

I get why they are going hard after the Gwen song though - it shows their muscle to other streaming companies and gets them a few more mentions and headlines.

She’s now 7 on the app / Unlimited chart was at 2.

It’s obvious it’s been scaled back when you asked Alexa to play Christmas songs Kylie came on first and then was played again after the 7/8th song. Now she’s not being played until the 6th/8th song and not multiple times.

She’ll still be top 3 with ease I’d imagine but it’s definitely had its rotation reduced back a bit compared to last week

I’m wondering if they take into account people saying ‘Alexa, next’ if they don’t like Xmas when it comes on.

Most of the lads in my dept in work who’ve heard it say ‘it’s shite’ :(

I think they don't count because you have to stream at least 30 seconds of a song for it to count

Yes, but the probpem was the week after was after Xmas, so we canae say. It Can't Be Christmas has been paid dust by them this year after getting #3 last year and being a great sang though

A lot of men pretend to hate pop music, as they think it's not macho, and they'll say they only like rock or rap, so I'm not surprised

But the sang is GREAT and sounds really good on speakers

It’s interesting that they show limited love for their former exclusives - I guess as soon as it’s not an exclusive for them and available elsewhere they are onto the next 🤣
