I very nearly sent one of Andreas Johnson’s Melodifestivalen entries before deciding on Black Box Recorder so probably dodged a bullet although the top five would have been super close without These Are The Things in the mix.

Well, congrats again Rich! I actually wouldn't have called this one to win at all, but I did like it, had a very atmospheric and interesting vibe. Much as I love Jump In The Pool, it's good to see something a lot less well known winning.

Really pleased with 4th (and not miles off 2nd), well beyond what I expected for this one, and I'm so pleased those that did like it seemed to like it a lot with all those 12s, many thanks all <3

Pleased to see FKA Twigs do so well, not that I doubted it, although a shame to see a lot of my main favourites just missing the top 10 in 11th-14th, a stacked section x

Well done Gooddelta, 'These Are The Things' was a good discovery which I put 2nd in my own vote. I didn't know any of the entries here.

Thanks to all who gave points to Wallflower. I was aware that It Bites had turned to prog rock eventually after their more pop oriented top 10 hit, Calling All The Heroes, but I hadn't got round to listening to their later albums. I had a quick listen to their albums from 2008 and 2012 and chose Wallflower as the song that I thought might represent them best.

Congrats Rich on another contest win I hadn't realised Black Box Recorder had an even poppier song than 'The Facts Of Life'!

Thanks Cow for the last of my points. My run of top 10 finishes in Bop Idol is over - only 7 or 8 points short this time, but these kind of ballad tempo songs tend to have limited appeal, so I'm glad it found a few fans.

Can’t believe I managed to hang on to top 10, I got about 70% of my points from 4 people 😂 I’ve had a very DIVISIVE ride in song contests recently without even realising it was going that way, haha! Thanks for all the Paris love to those who did. Glad to see Mini Viva, Sanna and Yanou all did well, that was a clear top 3 for me.

I won't lie, I'm very disappointed with Petite Meller only finishing in 21st place for me, I had much higher hopes for her than that. Possibly the fact that it was initially missed off the list and then tacked on at the end did me dirty, though I don't know, maybe that's just me making excuses!

Sorry Mango you feel this way. I totally get why it feels like that to you, but I promise it wasn’t disadvantaged...in contrary I made sure it got enough attention by announcing the hiccup and everyone saw it and it got the same visibility as the rest. Petite Meller still delivered a vibe, and she was sitting at #12 in my rankings but the contest was super strong!!!

Yeah, I think that is what ultimately got me to not go for Azealia, too. I just couldn't bring myself to do it

Oops worst result yet for me. Admittedly didn’t have enough time during the confirmations window to properly delve in to searching. I also wasted a lot of time coming up with two hit wonder artists. 😅 I remembered 2006 had quite a few OHWs - and toyed with sending LeToya and Paris (that track specifically), then settled on Sam. The track was giving me early Calvin Harris so I thought maybe it’d prove popular. Evidently not. If only I had remembered Solange.

Okay. I think I'll say what I had first in mind before quickly switching to Mini Viva. Not telling the song but the artist was...

And as I also said this was my clear fave for the win, given their actual hit is unbelievably popular on here (as recently revealed ranging from dandy to Last Dreamer!) and this one isn't too dissimilar in sound. I actually MUCH prefer this one to Facts Of Life though!

I voted for 7 of the top 10 so good taste overall on show here. Really thought Fiona Apple was a nailed on top 10 though and expected Imogen Heap to do much better too.

19th for me is pretty meh but I didn't really have a good shout for this theme and just looked at what was eligible from my Spotify top 100s of the past few years. I wasn't even really a big fan of Faded at the time (there were like 50+ better deep house songs from 2014 alone) but Good Life has a bit more to it with the spoken parts, thanks to those who threw it some love!

well done Rich, I do like Black box recorder, and quite a few of the acts in this list, and already know Cherry ghost woulda got 12 points from me, Foster The people 10 points.

GUTTED I didn't even think about her because I was trying to think of people who’d had one hit in the 2000s/2010s!!!! Golden Hour is an all time favourite of mine, would've loved to have sent an album track from that 😭
