Going with Creed, it probably deserved to be a bigger hit here and I'm not a fan of The Road To Mandalay at all, although I think the double a-side Eternity largely drove sales of the single here.

I love trying to impersonate the vocal/accent in 'With Arms Wide Open' so voted for that. Good karaoke song!

Admittedly I got the Year End Chart from Wikipedia and they didn’t list Eternity. Perhaps I should use the year end list from the Charts Forum here.

Creed. I find 'Road To Mandalay' rather silly tbh and that's despite having the double a side with 'Eternity' on CD oops. If it was the main track then it'd be a little harder!

Ah I hadn't twigged 'The Road To Mandalay' was here for the UK (I'd assumed it was a single A-side release in Australia without paying attention to what it was against). Definitely Robbie Williams for my vote then, 'Eternity' captured an important moment in time for me and has a genuine warmth and sincerity to it.
